View Full Version : Who Would Be The All-Time Best Coach For Any Team in The Major Sports Leagues? Jenya 04-21-2004, 12:22 PM For hockey, I would say Scotty Bowman was the all-time best coach for the NHL. And Phil Jackson would be the all-time best coach for the NBA. For the NCAA (Football) I would say Lou Holtz was the best coach. (JORDAN,SHAQ). ptcruiserfan2004 04-21-2004, 05:41 PM NBA=Rick Carlisle (Pacers) :thumbsup: NFL=Tony Dungy (Colts) :thumbsup: MLB=Ron Gardenhire (Twins) :thumbsup: Rick Carlisle because he lead the Pacers to the best record in the NBA (and hopefully an NBA championship :D ). Tony Dungy because he nearly lead the Colts to the Superbowl and made them consistant winners. Ron Gardenhire because he has taken a relatively small market team and turned them into winners (winners of AL Central Division the past 2 years), into the playoffs last year and one step from the World Series the year before.
