I'm 14 years old, and I've never kissed a boy, and i haven''t had a bf in almos 2 years. My best friend was telling me how many boys she kissed and how young she was when she got her first kiss. She told me that i was very pretty (i know my looks aren't an issue, everyone says I'm pretty) and she said that she was shocked because of my age. She also said that it ould be that boys are intimidated by me because i'm sophisticated and smart, but i feel pathetic compared to her....what could i be doing wrong?

I didn't kiss a boy until I was 15

Nothing. Don't let her intimidate you. It's your life...if you feel comfy, then go with it.

Now if you end up like me, 24 and never been kissed, then you might start to wonder.

But I'm gonna use that "Guys are intimidated by me" excuse from now on. :D

I wouldn't worry about it! You are only 14yrs old and a lot more interesting things await for you to do besides kissing a boy:D

My goodness, you are so young. I didn't was...dateless...until I was 21 years old. When you are ready, you will be ready. I'm going through a whole date thing right now - and I'm a grown, 30 something year old adult with a child! You have plenty of time for this stuff! Enjoy being a kid!

I was 19 before I was kissed by a guy so don't feel so bad. And anyway, who's to say your friend isn't exaggerating about the number of boys she has kissed. Even if she is telling you the truth she is only going to wind up with a bad reputation later on because kissing will definitely lead up to other things. You don't want that to happen to you so just be patient. You have plenty of time. :)

it's okay, don't feel pressured. You're still young and have many years ahead of you. Just let everything fall into place and you'll see it happen sooner than you expect. (wow i just sounded like a fortune cookie...)

It shouldn't matter when as long as you like the guy. Sounds like you don't even have a boyfriend...maybe you should work on getting one of those first, then worry about kissing him. :)

um no LOL if that making out involves two sets of lips touching each other and moving around then you are kissing.

but Ive always thought theres a difference between kissing when making-out, and just plain kissing.

I was 12 when I had my first real kiss/french kiss... but that's besides the point. Don't be in a hurry to grow up...You WILL get your first kiss eventually. It just takes time. I had my first kiss with my first boyfriend, and we were only in 7th grade. We broke up less than 2 months later. :rolleyes: Meh.

Eh, I was that way...actually still am. But the only ones I can't really get to know are the ones I like, because when I do talk to them, I end up sounding like a freak. It's insane. :crazy:

i didnt kiss a girl until i was in my mid 20s and that was because i didnt start dating until then . trust me you should not worry about what other people think at 14 you should be thinking about getting good grades in school and having fun with your friends and by the way your not doing a thing wrong i used to worry like you are doing right now but trust me its better to start dating later. and i was very shy around girls but dont worry your time will come and your real friends will like you for who you are and will accept you for who you are the ones who dont are not worth hanging out with anyway
