Good for you.
diezman 04-09-2004, 11:01 PM Wow! Lots of country fans here! Thanks for participating so far:)
I must say that my favorite type of music is classic rock. I love Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Beatles, Blue Oyster Cult, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Zebra, Yes, Rush, King Crimson and the like.
I'm also into 80s & early 90s alternative (when it was still alternative) Bands like Jane's Addiction, Ministry (could be Industial I guess) Sonic Youth, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Pixies, Primus, REM, LARD, Palehead, The Nails, ect.
david&maddie4ever 04-09-2004, 11:05 PM Well actually, for me, it's mostly country, but I like other stuff too. I'm a big Evanescence fan and I love, love, love Clay Aiken. :biglove: I also like some older stuff like Elton John and Billy Joel. (I'm 13, so those are oldies for me. :p)

TheHappyBurgerMeister 04-09-2004, 11:13 PM I didn't vote in the poll, because I can't really decided, but I'm really into rock (especially classic rock) and blues. Soul, too. Actually I'll listen to any type of music except country. I can't STAND country music. But mostly Rock/blues/soul

I know...she's awesome. I think Amy's voice is what makes me like Evanescence but hate other bands with that style.
vashti1999 04-09-2004, 11:23 PM I guess the term that best describes what I listen to most is urban alternative, which is basically self-contained soul acts who write and produce their own stuff and play instruments.
Prince, Terence Trent D'arby, MeShell Ndegeocello, Lenny Kravitz, India.Arie, Musiq, Res, Anthony Hamilton, N.E.R.D., Outkast etc. are examples of what I listen to most. I grew up on soul, then disco, then top 40, then rap, then house, then whatever. Right now, after urban alternative, I like the Linkin Park, Staind, Incubus, Puddle of Mudd type of rock.
Fleet 04-09-2004, 11:25 PM My favorites:
1950s/early 1960s, especially Doo-Wop (The Flamingos, Platters, Skyliners, Five Keys, Five Satins, etc), early '60s Folk (New Christy Minstrels, Brothers Four, Kingston Trio), some '60s/'70s Country, some '70s (Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, etc.).
Ewan's My Man 04-09-2004, 11:49 PM I like everything
I'm all about rock, mostly of the classic variety.
I've made no secret on this board that I'm a huge Beatles fan, but I'm also heavily into The Rolling Stones, pre-1980 Beach Boys (Brian and Dennis Wilson solo, too), Nirvana, The Police, Pearl Jam, They Might Be Giants, Bruce Springsteen, Radiohead, John Mellencamp, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Aerosmith, Billy Joel, Weezer, Foo Fighters; etc.
Penny Lane 04-12-2004, 08:43 PM Beatles Music!Oh yeah.............:eyes: :guitar: :notworthy
Penny Lane 04-12-2004, 08:45 PM Also;

Tuesday Weld 04-17-2004, 07:16 PM Obviously, I like Elvis Presley and Dusty Springfield, but I also like most music of the 50's-80's (Rock, Soul, Funk, Disco, some Country, some Jazz). I don't like rap, heavy metal, or punk.

Czas na Zywiec 04-17-2004, 08:08 PM Seeing as I'm the only person from Poland, I'm going to be the only one to be a fan of Polish Hip-Hop. I thought I'd be turned off by it, as I dislike most American Hip-Hop, except for the occasional song, but my cousin got me listening to a few songs and now I'm totally into it. I love it, and can totally relate to the lyrics.
I'm also big into techno/trance/electronica. Clubbing is a national pastime for me. What can I say, I stay close to my roots.
I also love a lot of rock bands ranging from Queen, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Eve 6, Nirvana, Metallica, etc., etc.
Coldplay is also one of my favorite bands..not exactly rock though, so I didn't want to put it in the above group.
jamesanthony 04-17-2004, 08:50 PM easy listening, classis r&b, pop country (like vince gill or martina mcbride), some smooth jazz, contemporary soul gospel (take-6, winans, but not the kind that sounds overproduced). Rap was fun before it came to be about bling bling, murda and sex sex sex. Don't like loud discordant rock or headbanger music or punk or reggae. Prefer live instruments and bands to sampling and heavy computerized sound. Don't care for acts who are all looks and little talent (j-lo, britney, ashanti etc)
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 04-17-2004, 10:43 PM modern and classic rock.
I HATE punk and rap. :wallbang
XoVanillaRain90oX 04-17-2004, 11:42 PM pop.....

jamier42 04-18-2004, 01:20 PM I like Oldies, Pop, and Gospel music.
