Why did blair get soooooo fat later in the series ? at one time she was kind'a cute. is it true she was pregnant during much of the filming of the final season ?

no..i mean im almost sure she was engaged in the 9th season...but she wasnt pregnant...well im pretty sure..i read that somewhere..she wasnt fat...

" I filmed the last episode of “The Facts of Life” in March of 1988 and then I was married on July 9th, 1988. Ten months later I was pregnant with my first child and proceeded to have three children, three years in a row."

I agree with Blair n' Jo Rock, Lisa was not fat.

Lisa fat in season 9? No way!!! Take another look at Lisa in season 4 compared to season 9. IMO, she wasn't even fat in season 4, regardless of what the critics or any other jerks said. Ok, so she wasn't that skinny then either. But still....fat in season 9??...Gimme a break!

The Facts of Life Girls "Fats of Life" It's true they did gain weight, but thats human. That's part of life. Haven't all of us if we are truthful gained weight over the years, but no body said anything about us because we were not on tv. I'm not trying to cause problems I just want to say show some respect to the Facts of Life Girls.

I never thought Lisa or any other girls on that show were fat. Although about Joan Rivers, people should just ignore her because she makes cracks on EVERYONE in Hollywood. I think it was wrong for her to say that about them. JMO...

I have to defend something here. I regularly post messages on this board as a guest and I think that all messages, by guests or members, should be recognized equally, and all opinions about subjects should be respected.

However, I choose to come back to this board to read and post opinions because it isn't filled with arguments and messages hurtful or disrespectful to the characters of these shows, usually. But when that does happen, it goes away quickly and supporters of the actors and characters prevail. I try to post only positive things but I will respond to something I disagree with stongly enough, not for the sake of argument but just to voice an opinion. If the subject has already become argumentative, I usually leave it alone. I think that the majority of the people involved with these boards feel the same way.
So in reference to this orginal message, calling anyone fat, actor or not, is a terrible thing to do and it should not be done, but since it was I will choose to ignore it. That is the best way to move away from it. Who is fat and who is not will always be a debate because everyone sees it differently. Everyone has opinions but when they are hurtful, I'm not sure they should be spoken of, but unfortunately they are sometimes.

Which gets me back to the purpose of this post, if an opinion is voiced, bad or good, it should be taken into consideration, whether it be from a member or a guest. So I agree with you that this message should be ignored but I still believe that the person who posted it should be recognized.

First of all, I agree, everything Joan Rivers says is a bunch of crap.

Second, during the 9th season I did not notice ANY of the girls (or women..) being fat. Especially Blair, she was not fat at all!

Since when is it a crime to be overweight? The girls were a little heavy at times but it didn't mean they wern't attractive, caring, and great actresses. Anyways, WHO CARES if they put on weight?? It didn't bring down their character and acting ability when they put on weight. Esp Blair. You can be not stick thin and be sexy. Think Delta Burke. Blair did have a weight problem during seasons 2-5 mainly in season 3 if you look closely but that is something I really never noticed. They did a great job hiding it. She admitted to it. In a parade she was in back in the 80's someone had the nerve to yell out "Blair,you're getting fat!" How embarrasing!

Emma I don't think that was nice at all! Blair, Jo, Natalie & Tootie looked FANTASTIC in the last years of FOL! Don't post if your going to put down the actors!

I'm not that person! FOLrocks1 I love FOL go read my posts. I stick up for FOL! FOL is my FAVORITE show every one here knows that why would I put it down? I don't know how that post got my IP # but I will never ever put down FOL! FOL is my favorite comedy and untill a while ago I recently found out from JT that some people called the girls The Fats of Life Girls. How CRUEL!!! FOL was a great comedy, all the actors got along which in some series thats hard to come by. If you don't believe me fine I don't really care but I do love FOL and I never put it down.
