I went over Amandas @ 9 for games and such and at about 10:35 or so the phone rings and Diana was like.. its your mom! So she gives me the phone but I accidently hang up, but I can hear like a scream. So right off the bat I knew what is was. :( I feel fine.. I mean, Im sad and all.. but Im not whicked upset or anything. I dunno.. its my first human death thats close to me so who knows.. Im sure itll hit me when I go to bed and start thinking. Weird how lastnight we just saw her, me my mom and Amanda. Last time I had seen her before that was on Thanksgiving, but we went down lastnite because she had pneumonia.. we were gonna go again tomorrow too. My moms mad now that we didnt go down tonight, but we didnt know. My dads coming home from Maine tonight so they can make arrangements tomorrow. Meangya, she cant contact her brother or anything.. :rolleyes:

I'm so, so sorry to hear that. I'm very close to my grandmother, and I can't imagine what that's like. You'll be in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry Crystal. I know what you're going through. Losing my grandmother was the hardest thing I've ever experienced.:(

Thank you. :) I think why Im not all shook up about it is because I was expecting it at some point. I mean, she was 88 years old.. she lived well over the average years. Im also a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and when your life is complete on Earth, you move on.

It didn't hit me until it got time for our decoration at my grandparents graves...it was really hard not seeing her. I still think about her a lot, and it been just over a year, but it gets easier with time, it really does. Just hang in there.:(:bighug:

Sorry to hear about your loss. I remember visiting my grandmother in Chicago for Thanksgiving and then she passed away 2 weeks later. My mom was so glad she had that one final chance to see her since we lived so far away. Sometimes they just know when it's their time. Be thankful you got to see who that one final time.

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. :(

I'm so sorry. When the first death happened to one of my pets that was the first time I had ever experienced losing something close to me. I always react with shock first. Then, the tears start to flow. I didn't even get over the death of my pet until 2 months after the death. It was a miracle I even passed my first semester final exams in the state I was in.

Tuesday morning I recieved a call from my great-aunt, letting me know that my grandfather had just passed away the night before. I don't want to take away from what you're going through right now, so I'll just leave it at that.

I'm very sorry, Crystal. :( :bighug: Almost a year ago, I lost MY Grandmother and it was and is still painful.

I'm sorry Crystal :( My grandfather died last summer so I know how it feels. It was pretty rough at first, but things got better after a couple weeks. I'll be thinking about you & include your family in my prayers :-)

The same goes for me too, Crystal. I wish I could've spent time with my Grand parents. They died years ago when I was very young.

3 of mine died before I was born and I don't remember my paternal Grandma at all. I was 2 or 3 when she died. I feel the same way. I would've loved to spend time with them.

Thanks guys! Im taking it really well actually- I try not to think about it. My brother and his wife and son came down today and are going up back to Maine in about an hour with my mother and my Dads gonna stay down here. I thought when they all got here itd be like some mopy thing, but I think everyone has already accepted the fact that shes gone and are ok with it. My mother told me though that I guess my brother took it pretty hard lastnite, but everyone seems to be doing good. Im sure itll be a whole nother story though on Friday when we have the funeral and such though. Anyways, thanks again!:D:hug:
