i know for a fact that natalie was the first girl out of the four main girls to loose her virginity. when she was in new york, snake came and i think it was on their one year anniversary that they finally made love. it was a very controversial issue. they originally asked lisa whelchel to do it, but she has such strong beliefs against sleeping with someone before you are married that she declined. that's why she doesn't appear many times in that episode. she wanted nothing to do with the topic.

it makes no sense that Lisa didn't appear in the episode where Natalie loses her virginity because she is so against the idea, yet in The Little Chill, she didn't act like she had any problems with the fact that Nancy was pregnant and not married yet. And there was only little over a years difference between the two episodes.

The reason that Lisa objected to that ep was because by then she had already met her future husband the minister...or pastor (not sure) and her religious beliefs were getting stronger at the time. Personally, I would have done the episode. But I respect her for standing her ground. I think sex is simply a part of life, and it would be unrealistic to assume that EVERYONE waits until marrige.

jo gets married in the last season in an epp called Till Marriage Do Us Part-"Jo andRick are finally married, but no sooner do they say i do, Rick gets a job offer to go no tour.

I think the reason it was such a deal was simply because it was 1988.

In 2000, if FOL was on now and had an episode like this, it wouldn't be as controversial because sex has been opened up more on television.

Lisa says in an interview that she was not willing to have some young girl who was contemplating sex, do it because Blair did it so it must not be all that bad. She chose to make what she considered the most responsible choice. I agree with the other posters Blair, Natalie, Jo, and Tootie were role models Nancy was not. There is also one more thing Nancy's pregnancy did not directly deal with sex, yes sex is a prerequisite for pregnancy, but sex wasn't dealt with just it's consequences.

How about in real life? Has Nancy McKeon, Kim Fields, Mindy Cohn, or Lisa Whelchel ever lose their virginity?

Well what do you think? Lisa has three kids I'd say she has. And I'd hope by their age that they all have.

I know Lisa has....but not neccssary, just because their 30 something it doesn't mean that they have...does it??

It doesn't mean they have for sure, and there's no way anyone can know. But seeing as none of the girls seem to exude strong Christian values of waiting for marriage (except for Lisa of course), and given Mindy's response when asked if she would be the girl to loose it on the show (something along the lines of "Here are 4 young, attractive girls, it's about time someone does it"), I would say it's probably a pretty safe bet they have.

Although I completely agree with Lisa's decision, I think that Blair did at some point lose her virginity. Casey asked Blair to move in with him in the episode where Jo gets married. As her boyfriend he would know if she didn't agree with premarital sex, and most couples that live together aren't abstaining. I don't think that he would have asked her to move in with him if they weren't having sex, and he knew that she wouldn't until her wedding night.
