What soap opera do you think is the best right now? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I think All My Children is the best soap opera on tv right now. It isn't dragging out like other soaps, it isn't weird in the supernatural way, the story's they are doing are fantastic and it has a great cast. I hope AMC wins an emmy for best soap opera next year, it deserves it. Plus, Susan Lucci is acting better than ever! I really like her in this show now

The only thing I hate about AMC right now is that Finola (Anna) is leaving this fall

I like her character.

I agree! AMC is currently the best on TV. Around this time last year, there were hardly any soaps that were any good. Now, I've been reading good things about AMC and Y&R. AMC's Jack is Greenlee's father storyline is GREAT. I also love the rivalry between Erica and Mary! Their arguments are so hilarious! AMC IS #1

Port Charles. I understand that the supernatural isn't everybody's thing, but I happen to love it. Besides, apart from that element, I believe PC has the most talented cast of any daytime soap.

After Port Charles, I'd probably say As The World Turns.

But if you have read some of my other post's on this thread, you'll know I'm kind of biased because that is the only soap I watch.

General Hospital is the only soap I watch, so we're in the same boat.

Granted, they've been on the same storyline forever *cough* Sonny and co *cough*, but hey, it's still the best in my eyes.

What about last year when Kendall first came back? I thought AMC was fantastic last year, not as good as this year, but it was exciting to watch. I love Vanessa, I wish they didn't fire her
