Default Convincing Soap Stars

what soap stars convince you with their acting... like, say that person had to be really sad about something, and they made it believable...

Me:

Alicia Minshew, Kendall Hart, on All My Children
Rebecca Budig, Greenlee Du Pres, on All My Children
Kirsten Storms, Belle Black, on Days of our Lives
Courtnee Draper, Erica Lovejoy, on The Bold and the Beautiful

Deidre Hall ~ Days of our Lives (SHE IS THE BEST!!)
Drake Hogestyn ~ Days of our Lives (HE IS THE BEST!!)

They've both made me cry numerous times because of their superb acting.

Kristian Alfonso ~ Days of our Lives
Renee Jones ~ Days of our Lives
Allison Sweeney ~ Days of our Lives
Joseph Mascolo ~ Days of our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful
John Anniston ~ Days of our Lives
Eileen Davidson ~ Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless

Are all great actors and actresses.

Erika Slezak as Victoria "Viki" Lord-Davidson on "One Life To Live"... There is a reason that this women has 5 Emmys and Seven Nominations.

Susan Lucci as Erica Kane on "All My Children"

Catharine Hickland as Lindsay Rappaport on "One Life To Live."

Fiona Hutchison as Gabrielle Medina on "One Life To Live"

Julia Rose Barr as Brooke English on "All My Children"

Finola Hughes as Anna Devane on "All My Children"...

Just to name a bunch.

I agree with Erika Slezak. I don't watch OLTL religiously, but in the summer I try to stick around after AMC to watch. Slezak is REALLY convincing when she is yelling. She yells just like Grayson Hall of "Dark Shadows."

I also think that Susan Lucci is convincing. Just the other day, she pulled a knife on Kendall. She pulled it so naturally.

Yes Erika Slezak is BRILLANT... As a longtime fan of hers i can with confidence that she is also brillant at scenes where Viki has to be quiet and not say much, if you look at her eyes they will tell you an entire story on thier own. Erika can walk into a room and not even speak and you just know exactly how Viki feels or what she is thinking. This is a women that i have admired for years because of her superb range and depth. She has amazing facial espressions that convey a whole level of emotions... There was one scene years ago, back in 1994 or 1995 that Erika used as her Emmy submissions. In the scene viki is having an emotional breakdown as one of her alters and the acting on Erika's part was so convinving and real that TO-THIS-DAY the Academy still talks about those scenes as the benchmark of quality acting. They are just CHILLING, once you watch them you will never forget them.
