"Meeting him was an honor. Being allowed to use his music on our show was beyond measure." In 2018, Scandal music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas said her use of Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" in a Season 3 Olivia-Fitz love scene was one of her favorite moments from the ABC drama.
