Cool When good sitcoms go bad

When did your favorite show start to go downhill a bit?

Wings- My all-time favorite show, but even I can admit it got pretty dull after Joe and Helen married and Lowell left. I still watch the reruns a lot, but not from the last 2 seasons.

Friends- Loved it the first season, but it got really annoying after that.

NewsRadio- Great show that tragically went downhill after Phil Hartman's murder.

The Simpsons- Started to go downhill this past year or 2, but I still love it.

The Facts Of Life really disappointed me a bit. I liked it up until the 1986-1987 season, and that's when it went downhill. Three's Company went downhill in it's 1983-1984 season.

THE COSBY SHOW WENT BAD WHEN DENISE LEFT THE CAST FOR A DIFFERENT WORLD.THE COSBY SHOW WAS WATERED DOWN AND NEVER RECOVERED IN MY OPINION.THE COSBY SHOW COULD'VE BEEN A SITCOM FOR THE AGES INSTEAD IT BECAME AN AVERAGE RUN OF THE MILL SITCOM.

I think the same can be said for 'A Different World'. I didn't think it was ever the same after Lisa Bonet left - she was the whole reason the show was made in the first place. When she left it went down hill.
Marisa Tomei also left after the first season, which didn't help matters cos she and Lisa Bonet were the best folks in it!
Jasmine Guy (Whitely Gilbert) was funny but she couldn't carry the whole show on her own - she worked better as a supporting charater.

Are you nuts? Lisa Bonet and Marissa Tomie were the worst parts of the series, when they were on it the show was so bad that they kept having to do COSBY SHOW cross-overs to get people to watch, once lisa and marisa left the show began to have some substance and it became a wonderful sitcom, Jasmien Guy was BETTER as a LEAD CHARACTER then she was as a SUPPORTING CHARACTER, and the additions of Cress Summer, Jada Pinkette and others made it even better, plus when they got RID OF SINBAD and DEBBIE ALLEN!

HAPPY DAYS WENT BAD AFTER IT WENT BEFORE A LIVE AUDIENCE! ESPECIALLY THE LAST FEW SEASONS. IT REALLY LOST ITS CHARM!

Suddenly Susan really went downhill after David Strickland's suicide and Judd Nelson's departure. The 1999-2000 season was an atrocity. The first season was great as was the second. The third was pretty good too. All of them except the dreaded fourth.

Thanks for posting that cool link.

Let me inform the other viewers. JTS is good but if you vote it may be a while before you see your vote on their board; its very popular 2 be sure.

So read the wacky stuff & Enjoy!

Read how some people really dog out Cousin Oliver. Or any other cute kid added just 4 ratings, etc.

Or the "Very Special" eps like when Nancy Reagan appeared on Diff'rent Strokes.

Rapture!

Definitely "Saturday Night Live". It gets dirtier and raunchier every time I watch it! And, of course, in general it is never, ever funny!

That's true, it will take awhile to see your post. I posted about a week and a half ago and it's still not up!

Roseanne went downhill the last season. The last season just changed the whole reason I watched the show. It just wasn't the same show.

Veronica's Closet went downhill the third and final season. It just stopped being funny. The writers screwed up that season.
