Okay, so we've discussed the dorks and the ditzes of the sitcoms. How about some *intelligent* characters? For example:

1. The Brain (Arthur--Okay, it isn't exactly a sitcom, but it's a cute and funny PBS kids' show!)
2. Lisa Simpson
3. Emmett (Andy Griffith)
4. The Professor (Gilligan's Island)
5. All the kids in Charlie's and/or Billy's class, especially Arvid and Janice (Head of the Class)
6. Mike (All in the Family)
7. Mrs. Garrett (Diff'rent Strokes and Facts of Life)
