Post Gay sitcom stars

doesn't it just blow you away when you find out who is gay in the sitcom world and who's not? These people are really good actors, sometimes you see someone and are sure they are gay only to find out they are maried and sometimes you swear they are straight and you find out they're not i was amazed when i found out bulldog from frazier was gay but not surprised at all when i found out marcy(married w/ children) was gay.

the dad on Family Matters being gay surprised me. I am gay, but I've never thought of him as "family", lol. I guess it's not too shocking to know that three of the actors on Queer As Folk (Justin, Ted and Emmett) are all gay in real life.

for years it seemed like people have been so obsessed with Nancy McKeon's sexuality. I know straight and gay people both who think she's a lesbian. I don't see it. I agree that Jo got pretty "butch" around seasons 6-8, but more of a tomboy instead of a lesbian manner.

Does it really matter whether a sitcom actor (or any other actor for that matter) is gay or not? Surely the most important thing is that he or she can act and can make the audience laugh. Anything else is unimportant.

Ok, sorry - I wasn't trying to offend you. My point was that a lot of people (not you necesarily) place too much emphasis on celebrities personal lives and overlook their talents.
I didn't mean to upset you, sorry

I don't think sexuality matters to most people. But it is interesting to know what celebrities are gay sometimes. It doesn't make a difference to me, but as a gay man, I do find it interesting to find out an actor or actress who I enjoy the work of comes out. Same with music. Like I was interested when Danny Pintauro came out (even tho I think it was pretty obvious the last season or 2 of WTB when he had passed puberty and was like 16-17.

I was aware of Robert Reed from the Brady Bunch, Dick Sergent from Bewitched, and Marcy (Amanda Bearse I believe) from Married With Children being gay in real life, but when exactly did this story concerning Carl from Family Matters (who was also in the movie Die Hard and several collect call commercials) being gay come out and can anybody actually comfirm this?

There's a difference between being a Tomboy and being a Stud. She gave off Studly vibes. She has that type of swag. I think she is at least bisexual, i am not convinced that she is 100% straight.

Meredith Baxter and Geri Jewell are OUT and proud now. Good for them.

Was it ever confirmed about Carl from "Family Matters"?

The one that totally threw me was a minor cast member from "Gomer Pyle, USMC". Roy Stuart, who played Corporal Boyle was gay, but I never would have guessed it.

IIRC, isn't Jim Parsons (Sheldon from BBT) gay?
