Lightbulb Paula Abdul Forever Your Girl poll

we first met the angelic voice of Paula Abdul in 1988 with the Forever Your Girl release. She could dance like Ginger Rodgers and sing like Patty Labelle. This double-threat made her a superstar of superstars and spent 10 weaks at #1

Tracklisting
1 The Way That You Love Me
2 Knocked Out
3 Opposites Attract
4 State Of Attraction
5 I Need You
6 Forever Your Girl
7 Straight Up
8 Next To You
9 Cold Hearted
10 One Or The Other

This album was the best album ever and Paula is an underrated diva

Last I checked Paula Abdul wasn't all that popular. I think she's ok though. If I had to pick out of that list I'd pick "Forever Your Girl".

Oh and btw Anthony Brixton you misspelled Ginger Rogers

Wow! "Forever Your Girl", my favorite of the 80's. I like most of the songs "Straight Up", "Opposite's Attract", "The Way That You Love Me" and others. I also choose "Straight Up". She had a date once with John Stamos on "Full House". I like her music. She was the best.

actually Paula was huge in the late 80's/early 90's.

He also mispelled Patti LaBelle, lol

Thumbs up Yay for Paula Abdul!

Paula Abdul was one of the singers who was popular without having a lot of sexuality. She is still on top,(American Idol judge) and people still like her. Her music is pure without being tainted with sex. I don't remember any of her songs being sexual. She is a role model for people everywhere and singers today. She shows that you don't need sex to sell your music. She was a pure singer of the 80's/90's decade. Kudos and thumbs up to Paula Abdul!

Paula did use sex, not to the extent that Madonna or Janet Jackson has, but tell me the Cold Hearted Snake video wasn't sexual with a straight face.

That's the first thing I thought of when I came in this thread Vash!

I ain't gonna lie - I bought the cassette to Forever Your Girl when it came out. I really digged it & played the heck out of it the first couple months I had it. My favorite Paula song was always "Knocked Out."

Forever Your Girl is my fave, because it's a duet with the Wild Pair who never really took off as artists on their own. As for Paula she has a very thin voice. She even admits as much. On the plus side, she was not super skinny and yet she made a career in the dance world, which is interesting. I don't know if a slightly chunky dance type female singer with thin vocals like hers could have multiple #1 hits today the way she did 15 years ago.

Since I can only choose one, I'll pick "Knocked Out" as my favorite.

I knew it! Even as a young child, I knew something was sexual with that video, but as i got older, I thought, 'Maybe it WASN'T sexual after all, but now from what you wrote Buffy, I am thinking maybe I was right in the first place!

I don't know, but doesn't Paula Abdul's "smile" on the Forever Your Girl album cover look like a smirk?

Oh my gosh, I got to see The Cold Hearted Snake video today, and oh my gosh! That video IS sexual! I knew it was sexual since I was a child(But forgot how it went since I haven't seen it in over 15 years), and I even called it a "nasty" video. I didn't know the word "sex" yet, though, so I called it "nasty". It is even more sexual than Janet jackson's "IF!"
