How come some of you begin with season 6? I've never seen the show, just wondering why.

Its most likely because they already have seasons 1-5 on DVD

I plan on doing the same.

After I finish the series, I'll go back and rewatch seasons 1-5.

I will be watching the Paley Center reunion first, probably some random later episodes from Seasons 7-9 next as those as the ones I've not seen in the longest time.

I totally forgot about the reunion. I may start with it also and then start on season 6.

It's too bad the 2001 reunion TV-movie doesn't seem to be included with this set, but at least the series itself is finally getting a complete DVD release. Maybe that TV-movie will be put on DVD separately later.

What would be the best release (a fantasy) would be the complete series plus all of the documentaries and "look-backs" at the show; their E! True Hollywood Story, the Cast Confessions special, etc. (plus an "as-complete-as-can-get" cast round table reunion discussion, and commentaries, of course).

Default music clearance rights

I asked Shout about a list of music right clearances for the upcoming release. Their response was it hasn't been finalized.... How is that possible with the set shipping to preorders in a couple months.... The disks should already be starting the manufacturing process.

This is something I (and I'm sure many more people) am wanting to know. It's weird that they don't make this a top priority.

Probably the only post-Eastland episodes I'll be watching are "The Little Chill" and the final episodes where Blair buys Eastland.

I bought Seasons 1-5 when they were officially released on DVD a few years ago, whereas Seasons 6-9 have never been officially released on DVD until now, so I'm really looking forward to watching the previously unreleased later seasons first...

yes, after I watch all of Seasons 6-9, I'll then watch anything considered an extra/bonus, then all of Seasons 1-5 (to also check I don't have any disc problems... I don't expect to, but I make sure I check everything)...
