It's odd that Brothers and Sisters gets one more episode than Desperate Housewives. I would think it would be the other way around.

I know the producers of FLASHFORWARD were working on a recap episode. I figured they would air it a week before it returns (returns March 18), but they scheduled a Grey's encore instead on March 11. Maybe they will air the recap after LOST on March 16 at 10pm and they can move the forgotten episode for that week to Friday at 9pm (since 9pm is TBD because the special Thin Ice is at 8pm)? the forgotten would still have its season finale on Tuesday, March 23 at 10.
EDIT: Eastwick fans, the finale aired in England on Sunday. Watch it here: http://www.divxden.com/jwp6rtj83egp/...d-bia.avi.html |

I assume it wouldnt make sense to air a recap on the 11th since IDOL is still there and no one would see it. March 16th after LOST sounds right, its 2 days before premiere. i would think FORGOTTEN will/should be pulled off Tuesdays after next week. Its alreardy off the 1st so all eps werent gonna air before the 30th on tues anyway.

All of the forgotten episodes would still air even with the preemption in March 2. It has a 17 episode order.

No word. I'm guessing March 24 and 31 as I mentioned in today's story: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/20...to-air-in.html

Don`t you think that is a bad idea to put Scrubs as lead in for The Middle? Scrubs is dead show and will hurt TM, this is my opinion. |

I never was for Scrubs or Ted on Wednesdays, because they don't fit with the other series really. Maybe after Modern Family, but not before The Middle. Thankfully it is just two weeks and I think the other comedies are repeats on March 17.
Anyway, promos for Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution start this Monday during The Bachelor: Women Tell All. It will be heavily promoted from what I can see Mon-Wed this coming week (don't know about beyond that, but I would assume so). |

ABC has one or two new episodes of Desperate (new 2 of the 3 weeks), B&S (new 2 of the 3 weeks), Grey's (new 1 of the 2 weeks), Private (new 1 of the 2 weeks) opposite the Olympics because it is sweeps and they do not repeat well if they are in repeats. Olympics or not, it is still sweeps and ABC would be automatically (a distant) fourth if those shows were all repeats. CBS's crime series and Monday comedies repeat well, and Fox has Idol that will save them. The reason why Castle and Comedy Wednesday are repeats during the two weeks of the Olympics because they repeat well.
ABC might be hurt by the competition (Olympics, Grammy's, etc) lately in Live+Same Day numbers, but they are looking very good in Live+7 Day DVR ratings. For the week of Feb. 1-7: - Grey's Anatomy goes from 4.5 18-49 rating to 5.9 (biggest increase of the week of 1.4 points) - LOST premiere goes from 5.5 18-49 rating to 6.7 (+1.2 pts) - Modern Family goes from 3.9 18-49 rating to 5.0 (+1.1 pts) - Private Practice goes from 3.4 18-49 rating to 4.2 (+0.8 pts) - Cougar Town goes from 2.9 18-49 rating to 3.5 (+0.6 pts) - Ugly Betty goes from 1.4 18-49 rating to 2.0 (+0.6 pts) - The Deep End goes from 1.3 18-49 rating to 1.8 (+0.5 pts) Castle was a repeat. Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters were preempted that week for the Super Bowl, but on Jan. 31 opposite the Grammy's: - Desperate Housewives goes from 3.7 18-49 rating to 4.5 in Live+7 (+0.8 pts) - Brothers & Sisters goes from 2.4 18-49 rating to 3.0 in Live+7 (+0.6 pts) I suspect last night when both were opposite the Olympics, they did similar ratings to Jan. 31 so they will be likely the same as above in Live+7 DVR. Thankfully starting next week the competition becomes lighter (well Olympics closing ceremony is still on) since early January so I expect Desperate and B&S to perk back up to their normal live ratings a bit, but by March 14 it will be fully back I think. The age of DVR and internet have really made live TV viewing go down in recent years. Competition isn't the reason. ABC's DVR report for Feb. 1-7: Week No. 20: Live + 7 Day Ratings: Based on Nielsen's Live + 7 Day information for the week of February 1, 2010, which included the first round of data for the Season 6 of "Lost," the 6th-year ABC drama premiere picked up an additional 2.2 million viewers (12.1 million to 14.3 million) and 1.1 Adult 18-49 rating points (5.6 rating to 6.7 rating) through DVR playback from its first-reported overnight numbers. In fact in terms of actual gains and percentage gains, it was the biggest-ever increase for a "Lost" season opener through DVR playback. In the finalized numbers, "Lost" stood as the week's No. 1 scripted TV show with Adults 18-49. During the week, ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" was once again TV's most-played-back show, while "Lost," "Modern Family" and "Private Practice" all saw substantial gains in the finalized DVR playback averages. * ABC claimed 3 of TV's Top 8 biggest overall gainers, with each show jumping by more than 2 million viewers: "Grey's Anatomy" - No. 1 (+2.758 million), "Lost" - No. 5 (+2.207 million) and "Modern Family" - No. 8 (+2.164 million - biggest freshman gainer). * Among Adults 18-49, ABC aired 4 of the Top 10 TV series with the biggest rating increases: "Grey's Anatomy" - No. 1 (+1.4 rating points/+31%), "Lost" - No. 4 (+1.1 rating/+20%), "Modern Family" - No. 4 (+1.1 rating/+28% - biggest freshman gainer) and "Private Practice" - No. 10 (+0.8 rating/+24%). |
