I have always said that on this thread. I believe that law enforcement knows it too. They made deals at least with Marvin Chaney not to charge them with the other murders if he would take the Alford plea. This is why they will not charge either of these men and why Angela's case will never be solved

This Tommy Lynn Sells could be an interesting possibility. I still lean towards Larry Hall. I'm not ruling out Mcduff but I'm very doubtful. I would think Marvin Chaney and Jess Rush were questioned on Cheryl Ann Kenney's case along with Angela's. I would assume they ruled them out.

This story has always haunted me too. Not that there are many phone booths around anymore but if there was no way in hell would i stop by at 11pm and make a call. People were very trusting back then it seems. The fact no one has noticed his truck, he must of taken the fish decal off the window at once.

As of April 4th this year, Angela Hammond has been missing for 25 years. I do not believe she is alive, but I really hope her family can have closure someday. The police in Clinton, Missouri have physical evidence from the phone booth that they could tie to a suspect should they get a match, so hopefully this case will be solved someday, even after a quarter of a century. I think she and Rob were a cute couple, and it's sad that they didn't get to be married and have children together. Angela was 4 months pregnant (supposedly Rob was the father) when she was abducted and would today be the mother of a 25-26 year old if she was alive. Some people still think that Rob killed Angela so he wouldn't have to have responsibility taking care of a child, but who knows with absolute certainty? I wonder how her family is doing? I really hope her parents are still alive and looking for her.

Did anyone find it odd the way the woman in the Angela segment said 'Oh even if the guy that took her can call us and tell us what he did with her' I cant remember if it was her mom but it just to me seemed a little shallow and how did she know at that point that he 'did' something with her?

I didn't find it odd. Some people are just realists. They know their family member is likely dead and they just want the body so they can give him/her a proper burial. I believe this was the case here.

Yep. I think her family and Rob were all very realistic in knowing they would likely not get Angela back alive. They just wanted to express their wishes of being able to put her at rest.

Yeah i suppose but it could be looked at in a different light and this UM segment was done fairly recently after Angela was abducted, i just wouldn't of jumped the gun and assumed she was dead that's all

Hmmm....I don't believe Rob's story. It's a bit too convenient, and "lost her at the last second" heroish for me. I'm not saying he's completely guilty, but I'm not ruling him out either.

First of all, if she was kidnapped in that truck and it was speeding down the street, and Rob oh so conveniently happened to pass the truck going up the street, would he really have been able to hear her? Assuming that both, or either of their windows we're rolled down, then Rob would be closer to the kidnapper via the vehicles if he was going up, and the kidnapper was going down. So, assuming the windows we're rolled up, and Angela was further from Rob would he have been able to hear her that clearly? Also, if she was kidnapped, did she have that much free range in the passenger seat to be able to get her head close enough to the window for Rob to hear her clearly enough?

Also, the "dang, gave out at the last second" scenario seems convenient also. He was able to catch the kidnapper en route, but when it was time to catch him his car gave out. Makes it seem like he was an unlucky hero. "Aww you almost had him Rob" would catch more sympathy than suspicion. Again, convenient.

So, this truck circled around her multiple times, and she was so sketched out by it that she called and told her boyfriend as opposed to just hightailing out of the area? She then described this man's appearance, and vehicle to a T, but as soon as she does she's captured? Knowing the make and model of his vehicle is odd. Also, the grungy, dirty look of this man is convenient. "He was dirty with a beard, and overalls" Convenient description.

He may be telling the truth, but as of now I don't believe his story.

Also, what I don't understand is that why would she phone him from a payphone seven blocks away instead of just going to his house? He was babysitting his brother, so why didn't she just stop by his house until it was time to leave again? Unless his parents didn't want her over, but still odd..

She was 3 or 4 months pregnant. There's a motive. I read it was someone else's child, but I'm not certain. Was it his child, but he got cold feet about being a young father and he was worried he couldn't no longer enjoy his youth and he killed her?

Or did she have an affair and got pregnant and jealousy took over?

It was said that they we're engaged, I wonder if she pressured him into getting married when she got pregnant, and crumbled under the pressure of being a married father at such a young age?

Perhaps this argument broke out on the way from the barbecue and that's when he killed her.

I found it interesting from a couple of articles that I found that I believe Angela was 20 yrs. old or so, but both her ex-boyfriend and current boyfriend were aged 17 and 18 respectively...not that that's odd, but they could have been a bit more "immature" than her. Also, not sure on any guilt or anything, but I did find the boyfriend on a social media site a while back and I remember some of his posts kind of changed my thoughts on him being "squeaky clean" etc...

That's my point. They're young. Rob had a military career ahead of him. Not everyone is mature at 17-18 to handle having a family, and marriage. I had a friend at 19 who thought his then girlfriend was pregnant. She pushed, and pushed about them being married because she didn't want the baby born out of wedlock, to the point that they fought constantly because he didn't want to get married.

When looking at this case I looked at it from Rob's point of view. Young, and about to be married with a family, or his fiancée is having another man's baby. Both scenario's are scary to a 18-19 year old. Then toss in the fact that his story is way too convenient for it's own good. Everything is right in the pinch of time.

As soon as she described the man she was caught. Convenient. As soon as Rob rushed up the street he saw the vehicle and she screamed his name. Convenient. As soon as it was time to give chase his vehicle crapped out. Convenient. Not to mention she took the time out to describe him and his vehicle perfectly. Convenient. All too convenient.

I'm telling you, something happened after that bar-b-q between them. Maybe they stopped somewhere near the payphone and he assaulted her outside which is why there's no blood in her car.

Sorry for the ranting, but let me clear up his faulty story. I believe elements of his story are true, but the majority of it is a lie, and made-up for his convenience. Here's what I really think happened that night.

After the barbecue she drops Rob off, and he goes to babysit his brother. She calls a little bit later (true part of his story), and they get into an argument over the phone. I thought it was weird she was going out with a "friend" but seemed light on the details. So, she calls Rob and tells him that she was hanging out with a "guy" friend, hence the jealous "WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE?" (another true part of his story). Maybe it was an ex, or maybe she admitted to cheating or just hanging out with another guy he didn't know. They get in an argument, and he leaves the house in anger, and leaves his brother and the phone off the hook.

He goes to the payphone area where she was, and she gets inside his car. They start arguing inside the car and maybe in the heat of the moment he strikes her. He takes her to an isolated area, possibly finish killing her, if he didn't kill her the first time, and he speeds out of the area. That's when his car breaks down.

Bits of his story were true, but not the whole thing. I think she was hanging with a "guy" friend after she dropped him off, and they had a fight over the phone about it, and that's why he drove to the payphone area.
