I'm sure new bonus features would be hard to come by, but they could have done a new featurette or something.

Or audio commentary. Between the time they announced the dvds and when they'll be released they could have pulled together something.

brutal, i thought they would put a little more effort into the Bonus Features. I am disappointed there are no Episode Commentaries (COME ON!!!!)... But yes, at least the episodes are finally being released on DVD...

I'm still hoping for "bloopers" what a treat that would be, but I'm glad about the Paley Panel Show

Well, and "The Girls School" is a new bonus feature for those who've never bought Diff'rent Strokes season 1, since that episode is part of that series instead of FOL.

Maybe they went light on the special features to save money to purchase music rights for the later seasons? I really wish we could have had at least one commentary while everyone is still alive. I'm still thankful the entire series is being released. Woo hoo!

According to the press release, it "contains all 201 episodes of this quintessential 80s show as originally aired." Uh, I thought there was 209 episodes of FOL? Unless they're counting the two or four parters as one episode?

There were 201 regular episodes plus the two movies that were both split into four parts in syndication so that makes 209 total.

...so the "complete series" does NOT contain the two movies then?

No, it does contain them; as bonus features. Click the link in post #1 of this thread and you'll see the details.

Yes it does cause they're bonus features. Originally they aired as moves but then in syndication they aired as episodes. So it is the complete series.

Thumbs up

After waiting years for this, the series is finally available!

How will you watch this new box set, will you start watching from the very first episode? will you start watching at season 6 episode 1? or will you jump to your favourite season, and cherry pick episodes?

For me, i will be Jumping to Season 6 and then watch all eps to the end - in order...(i'll even watch the eps i don't like)
