Cast, Crew Get Comfy in New Halloween II Behind-the-Scenes Pics
Thursday, July 16, 2009
By: MrDisgusting

Rob Zombie has unloaded another batch of behind-the-scenes stills from Halloween II that feature a bunch of the cast and crew getting comfortable on set in Georgia this past summer.

While I love seeing images from films, I almost feel like too many can take you right out of a movie.

I guess time will tell as Dimension Films takes Michael Myers back to theaters on August 28th.

EXCL: Halloween 2 Fan Poster Contest
Source: Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
July 19, 2009

In my line of work, I've learned there are a lot of talented individuals out there who know how to use Photoshop. Why do I say that? Because I'm hit with fan-made posters for upcoming films all of the time. And, in most cases, some of them are pretty damn good. So good it prompts me to see if it's legit or not. With that said, here's an outlet to put your art wizardry to the test.

In anticipation of the Dimension Films release Halloween II, written and directed by Rob Zombie, ShockTillYouDrop.com is hosting a fan-made poster contest. It's pretty simple. You create the poster, submit it to us and after the contest closes on August 28 (when the film is released), Rob Zombie himself will select his favorite. The winner will receive a full-sized poster of their winning design signed by Zombie.

Where do you begin? Well, there are images to use in our gallery, at the film's official site and at Zombie's MySpace page (sift through his blog). Also, be sure to use the title treatment you see below - click on it for a hi-res version. Be creative. When you're done, e-mail Halloween2PosterContest@gmail.com with your hi-res artwork attached and your FULL NAME and ADDRESS. I'll be compiling the entries into a public photo gallery for all of you to see (I'll link to it on this page once it launches).

The gallery page has launched. - http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/imag...Poster_Contest

Michael Myers Has a Message For All of You!
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
By: MrDisgusting

Rob Zombie updated his MySpace blog with a new image and a little farewell to his editing room.

"Well, the editing room is packed up and stored away until next time. Now it on to color timing and sound mixing. Before you know it Michael will be back in your face. I've never been so excited to release a film. This one blows the last one away... big time!"

Check out a new image of Myers below, and don't get pissed when he flips you the bird!

Halloween II arrives in theaters August 28.

SDCC: Dourif to Have a Larger Role in Halloween II
Source: Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
July 25, 2009

In the world of Rob Zombie's Halloween II, anything goes. The writer-director has no blueprint or rules to follow this time. As he's stated on this site before, he had creative freedom this time out. And one of the aspects we've been speculating about is who, in his world, are we expected to see more of? Loomis? Annie? Laurie?

Try Sheriff Brackett.

Rob Zombie confirmed to me this afternoon that you can expect to see more of actor Brad Dourif reprising his role as Haddonfield's keeper of the peace. But you'll find him in a shabbier condition than when we last saw him.

"Brad's very important to the movie," Zombie exclusively tells ShockTillYouDrop.com.
"Last time, you couldn't fit too much with him. Here you have your survivors. Laurie Strode moves in with Sheriff Brackett and Annie. That's the core of your movie. For Brackett, Brad grew his hair long and he's all rough looking. He's old, he's worn out, he's just this beat-down guy with these two girls he can't deal with. Brad must have that in his real life because he latched onto it. He was like, 'Man, I can relate to this. I'm getting old.' He really bonded with those two girls. He didn't have a lot to do in the first film but here he really digs in. There's classic Brad Dourif in this."

As for the status of Halloween II, "We tested it last week in New York and now we're finishing the movie, editing. Next week we'll test it in L.A. The screening went really good. I just try to sit in the audience and feel the vibe."

The film opens in theaters on August 28. More with Zombie to come!

An Exclusive Halloween II Photo
Source: ShockTillYouDrop.com
July 28, 2009

ShockTillYouDrop.com has scored an exclusive hi-res photo from Rob Zombie's Halloween II - the sequel to the 2007 redo which hits theaters in a month.

What're we looking at? Well, that's Scout Taylor-Compton and Tyler Mane reprising their roles as Laurie Strode and Michael Myers, respectively. Laurie's in a tight spot, it seems. But is this from a dream sequence?

Also, don't forget, we're currently running a Halloween II fan poster contest.

Michael Myers to Speak in Halloween II?
Source: Rob Zombie
July 29, 2009

Will the silent killer known as Michael Myers finally speak during his adult years? Possibly. Here's an early morning Twitter update on the status of Halloween II which is currently in post-production.

"Off to meet Tyler for some Michael Myers ADR. Sleeping some day would be great."

ADR means "additional dialogue recording." So does Zombie have Tyler Mane coming in punch up actual "dialogue" or will the actor merely be grunting and breathing heavy? Zombie has flirted with the idea of adult Myers talking before. In an early draft of 2007's Halloween, Myer's uttered the word "Boo" when he met Laurie Strode.

Halloween II opens August 28th. All answers to the above will come then.

Laurie Strode Takes a Beating in New Halloween II Image
Thursday, July 30, 2009
By: MrDisgusting

This afternoon MySpace hosted a brand new image from Rob Zombie's Halloween II, which features Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton) covered in blood.

Dimension Films has decided to take the film up against Warner Bros. Pictures' The Final Destination on August 28th.

Two R-rated horror films, both a major franchise, who will win? Death or Michael Myers?

A Hi-Res Look at the New Young Michael Myers, Laurie Strode!
Tuesday, August 4, 2009
By: MrDisgusting

We've just been given an exclusive new look inside Rob Zombie's Halloween II as beyond the break you can check out a hi-res look at Chase Wright Vanek as your new young Michael Myers, along with Scout Taylor-Compton as Laurie Strode.

What's interesting about the image is that young Michael is featured in the SAME pic as Laurie. A dream sequence maybe? Start throwing your thoughts in the comment section below and check out H2 in theaters August 28th.

It's that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable.

In addition, HALLOWEEN II just created a fun, web-only Trick or Treat “experience” for users. Go to www.H2TrickOrTreat.com and be prepared to be tricked or treated at your own risk!

Halloween II Gets Its MPAA Rating
Source: Rob Zombie
August 6, 2009

The verdict is in and the MPAA has presented its official rating for Rob Zombie's Halloween II.

The writer-director announced via his Twitter account that the sequel to his 2007 remake is rated R for "strong brutal bloody violence throughout, terror, disturbing graphic images, language, some crude sexual content and nudity."

No surprises there. We'll see if it lives up to all of this on August 28th!
