when i was 19 i went out with a girl who told me she was 18, and I believed her, because I knew friends of hers that were the same age, and she looked and acted the part....

she was 15, we only went out twice.

That's true! I used to say I was 18 when I was really only 15, but it wasn't so I could do anything with the guy. It'd just be embarrassing to have him say, "Oh man, you're just a kid!"

I never did that and won't. Sometimes, though, I would say I was a year older if my birthday was approaching... but only like a month before or so. Every 10 years, when my dad goes to his HS reunion in July (my b-day's in August), they make a little book and it always says I'm a year older. My dad's last reunion was his 30th, in July 2002 and he has his book and in it, it says I was 17, even tho I was 16 at the time he went.

That can get a person in deeep trouble if they're not careful. I did that twice (didn't date anyone), but I stopped.

better that the girl is a litlle embarassed than the guy getting drawn-and-quartered by some 15-year-old's father...

We're always in a hurry to grow up when we're kids.
