I admit to having bumped up threads myself in the past, but I usually didn't bump more than two at a time.

Yep. That's what got to me. I have bumped up threads from over a couple of years old before but I didn't do it five or more times in one day. It isn't bumping it up itself that bothers me it is if it is overdone.

That's how I feel, too. I don't mind anyone bumping an old thread or two (hell, I've done it from time to time), but certain members have bumped up a great deal of them in a short span of time (someone used the word "spree" in this thread; I like that). That's when it gets annoying - and confusing.

I don't see the harm in it if it's not overdone.

Some people seem to be so upset over something as trivial as this, imagine how this makes new members feel if they see an old thread that they find interesting but are afraid to post in it for fear of people jumping all over them.

Sometimes I like that old threads get bumped cause I find something interesting to post about in that thread that I missed the first time
