The Lucy show seemed like a whole different show in the beginning seasons and the later seasons. They start out in black and white in a small town in New York state with Vivian Vance . And end up in color in Los Angeles with Mr. Mooney/Gale Gordon ! I like the later seasons better , but I kind of miss Viv though, but it was great when they brought in Gale Gordon!!

Gale Gordon was the perfect foil for Lucy, the two of them had excellent on screen chemistry. The Lucy Show did lack something once Viv left, but I think Mary Jane Croft stepped in and did a decent job filling the role. Not as good as Viv, but adequate.

I'm pretty much the same. I like 60's sitcoms best, then 70's, then 50's. I don't watch sitcoms from the 80's and forward.

I would say 2000 on.
They all seem generic and unfunny with a few exceptions.

"Except "How I Met Your Mother," The Middle," and "Modern Family."

The '60s were lame, but at least they had Dick Van Dyke and Andy Griffith.
