Maybe the Wings marathon didn't do that well because people were too concerned with the WAR! I know that my family watches the War on TV all the time. Nick at Nite needs to put that into consideration and give people who watch the War programming a chance to find the wonderful "Wings".

No show needs to be on Nick at Nite four times a night. There are other shows on that channel. Give them a chance.

I'm excited about the four airings of 'Three's Company', I was hoping it would return to it 11PM/Eastern time-slot, again, I think it will boost their ratings. I didn't see why they had to push 'Wings' and 'Kids Say the Dardest Things' back, however you have to admit that the ratings were a little poor. As you've said, I think 'Wings', 'Roseanne', 'Full House', and 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' are early for Nick-at-Nite and they should have be added in the upcoming years, not in 2003 or '04, they are jumping ahead and they can't take those risks that might loosen some strings. I mean, you can't make a schedule that will suit everybody, so they have to make changes every once and awhile.

I was thinking that too. There's a war going on! The networks should take that into consideration. They should also stop cancelling a show after only airing 4-6 episodes. They need to give shows time to find an audience. If Cheers, MASH, Seinfeld, The X-Files, and other favorites premiered tomorrow and got the same ratings they did when they first aired, they'd be gone in a month.

No show deserves to be on four times in one night, especially since they just repeat themselves. Two episodes a night is plenty.

Yes, I think Nick-at-Nite should have took that into consideration. I don't think they had to punish the show by moving it back to a early-morning time-slot, because of poor ratings, which could be because of the war, and then have a show replace it. I'm sure there were many people concerned about the war, and they were too busy watching the coverage from the war, so they probably never considered watching the marathon. I think they could have waited awhile before they aired the marathon, because of the war, I don't think they would expect anybody to watch the marathon, if there was too much going on, so they could have moved it to another date.

Hm.....well this sucks for the Wings fans. I can totally relate because I've had shows put on and taken off the air abruptly too before. I guess the new schedule isn't all that bad, but still, more than two airings of a show in one night is definant overplay. That's why people got so sick of Cosby and Cheers. They went through the rotation so fast that they were playing episodes over and over again. I bet some people will get sick of seeing TC over and over agian if it's on long enough. Most will doubt it, but look at it this way. How many of you loved Cheers and Cosby before it came to N@N? Tell me what you think of it now. And there ya have it.

Yah I understand....

With the Brady Bunch... it was played a whole lot. And only had 117 episodes. Sometimes I would be able to recite episodes... it was like "ehk"

That's exactly what I'm worried about too. Okay, I'm just reciting this from memory, but we have 3's Co. on at 11, 11:30, 3, and 3:30. I might tune in and watch the 11 o clock hour. I go to bed at 3, so I won't watch that hour. Chances are I won't get tired of it, cause I just see that one hour. However, we might have some really late night people on this board that will see both hours and might get tired of it.

What really made the rating for Wings look worse was the fact that Cosby Show aired before their marathon. Lots of viewers finished their dose of Cosby, looked at Wings, and said "Click".

This reminds me of when Family Ties started airing on N@N a while back. Keep on Keating On started at 9:00 PM and gradually went into late night TV. And it was a Top 3 80s show at that.

But Happy Happy Happy is the programming director that decided to put Kids Say back to 5:30 AM.

At least Wings won't be under any pressure to succeed and they'll get their airplays in.

Amen.

Looks like they changed it the 2:30am weekend airing of Wings. It is now Coach on Friday and Saturday nights at 2:30am, so Wings is just 1am every night.

Default Wings...

Wow, I went online to find out what happened to Wings and found this forum. I am just really dissapointed at how Wings was basically spit on and threw aside. I have been a avid viewer of N@N for years now. As I do like Three's Company, I have seen every episode anbout 10 times now. I am a really big fan of Wings, and was enjoying the 11-1130 timeslots. But this 1 show at 1am is really a bummer. I am finding myself not watching now, because I will be here on the computer and forget its on until half way into it, and am screwed. The same this with Cheers as TC, I love Cheers, and enjoy it being on, but I have seen all the episodes at least twice now. We get something new like Wings and Perfect Strangers, and they bury them. Here is my fantasy lineup:

9-10 Cosby
10-11 Perfect Strangers
11-12 Wings
12-1 Cheers
1-2 Threes Company
2-3 Family ties
3 Head of the Class
3:30 Cheers
4 Wings
4:30 Cosby
5 Family Ties
5:30 Perfect Strangers

Okay, I know its not perfect, but trying to work with what we got. I think 1 repeat a night is too many for any show, but since N@N seems to like the repeats, I threw them in there...

Does anyone (mainly Pav.) know how "Wings" is doing in it's 1am timeslot? I'm really interested in finding out what's going on over there on N@N.

I'm not sure, but the good thing is airing at 1 a.m. means Wings has no pressure to pull big numbers like it had to do at 11 and 11:30.
