I agree. When I watched the preview I laughed more than any other time watching a sitcom preview in quite a few years. The Big Bang Theory looks like it could be very, very good. Chuck Lorre may have done it again.

I kind of rolled my eyes when I read about this show, but after seeing the clip, I gotta say this one just might be a hit. Got my fingers crossed for them.

Every single review I have seen on The Big Bang Theory is terrific. Everyone who has seen the whole pilot loves it, and thinks it is very funny. I think Chuck Lorre could have another potential hit here if it can generate any kind of rating in that tough 8:30 time slot.

It needs to air at 9:30. 8:30 will not do it because The Class was supposed to be the best comedy last season and look what happened. Now that time-slot will be even more tough with Dancing with the Stars in the mix in the fall. Honestly, How I Met Your Mother is not the way to start the line-up. I would do this:

8:00PM Rules of Engagement
8:30PM How I Met Your Mother
9:00PM Two and a Half Men
9:30PM The Big Bang Theory

Can't wait to see TBBT. I should see it very soon.

I agree with that. They are basically wasting it at 8:30. What most people are saying is at 8:30 all it needs to do to be succesful is to build on The How I Met Your Mother audience. I hope CBS knows that it will never have a huge rating at 8:30 opposite Dancing With The Stars.

Pavan, please let us know what you think of it when you see it. Most people who have seen the pilot have loved it.

No it will not be in High Definition.
I believe that all network reality/game show programming is still in SD as of now, with the exception of course of American Idol.

it's for Standard Definition, basically regular tv. It's use now more and more to deferienciate the two HD vs SD.
