"Soap" should definitely have lasted more than four seasons, considering it was the greatest comedy show of all time.
"Gloria" should have been given more time; Sally Struthers is terrific and Gloria Stivic was such a great character that the show probably could have been very good.

Welcome to New York

All these shows, given more time could have made it. They were good. Networks dont take chances anymore, they need to understand is if they want a hit it needs to take time to become a hit. A show may be good, but people just dont have time to watch it. The word needs to get out. A few people watch, tell friends, then more people will watch. I think all shows should be given a two year contract. I remember hearing on the E network that Cheers wasnt very successful its first year. That summer, they played reruns, and went around promoting it. It did very well its next season. And look, it lasted 11 seasons. Facts of Life was the same way. When shows keep getting canceled it keeps drawing me away from watching tv, i get so sick of liking a show then seeing it cancelled. it gets annoying. It makes me want to even stop watching tv. Just watch the shows that are keeping going tell they end and then guit watching from there. But i wont. So o well.

Cybiil was only on for three years, and it was a top ten show.

Phenom wasn't given enough time.

Maybe this time should hav elasted longer.

Popular need's another season.

and.... suddenly susan should have lasted longer.

Five pages of replies and nobody mentioned 'It's like, you know...'???
Does nobody know this show? This show about Arthur Garment, a New Yorker who despises Los Angeles, but stays there with his LA-friend Robbie, to write a book about it: "L.A. How can you stomach it?"
This show was hilarious, and in many ways, like Seinfeld, a 'show about nothing', but this time , unlike Seinfeld, FUNNY!
I would've loved to see the series and characters to develop, cause I would like to know what became of Arthur's crush on that girl who only wanted to be friends...

Robbie..........Steven Eckholdt
Arthur...........Chris Eigeman
And Jennifer Gray as herself!

Funny Face was a 1971 TV show starring Sandy Duncan as Sandy Stockton, a UCLA student. The show was cancelled less than 3 months after its premiere, because Duncan was diagnosed with a brain tumour and had to undergo eye surgery. The show didn't even have low ratings, it was the #8 show in the 1971-72 television season.
