That was a bad episode from a time when the show itself was pretty bad. I forgot that one....or I tried to, anyway.

liked the beginning episodes without the studio audience more American Graffitti like but then again wouldn't of had Laverene and Shirley or Mork and Mindy.

I actually thought that was one of the better ones from that era.

By that point I was so fed up with the phony Fonziemainia that I cheered every-time Hanks beat up Fonzie. Of course Hanks has to have his ass kicked by the Reverse Mortgage King.

well.... what's your worse episode? ??? I still think making Fonzie into a sap is pretty pathetic ... also like the one where he goes blind and fixes his bike. I liked Fonzie tough not a softie.

You'll notice that in some instances the sustained applause and "whoos" make the actors wait to deliver a line, otherwise it wouldn't be heard above the screaming.

NO QUESTION this was a bad idea for an episode as well as a BAD casting choice for Tom Hanks. The Weird part is, Tom Hanks was ALREADY on Bosom Buddies and many knew him from there. Myself included, I thought to myself "Wow, Tom Hanks must need a paycheck to do this small role and play this crummy character?" However, Tom Hanks must have been pretty good friends with Ron Howard because he did make a movie soon after with him called "Splash" in 1984 so it worked out for Mr. Hanks in the long run which lead to a great career AFTER this episode. We all know Henry and Ron are good friends and Tom must have been in that inner circle.

Bosom Buddies had been cancelled by the time this episode aired and Splash hadn't happened yet, so Hanks was in-between the show and his future big-screen success, so I imagine he was probably happy to get some work.

It's pretty clear they were running out of ideas for Fonzie in the later years. And when you run out of fresh ideas, you start doing stuff to the characters you never would have thought of doing before.

But I think the character who suffered the most was Potsie. Without Ralph and Richie, there wasn't much reason for the character to be around. It seemed at times they were coming up with these really off the wall bits just to give Potsie something to do in a show.

I watched "Fonzie Loves Pinky" recently and I don't think Pinky was all that hot in retrospect.

I didn't care for pinky r leather it was good episode but I didn't care for her or her sister. demolition derby was cool though.

should of had fonzie finaly find his mother and reunite with his weird brother we his name was n move in with his own family n adopoted son that would been closure

potsie should of took chichi place in dating joanie that would been more interesting. and we wouldn't of had to suffer and chichi episodes
