Things really got bad in late 2007/early 2008 when all the new reality and original programming came and it really hasn't been worth watching since then. I can't believe Andy Griffith is off the schedule after all this time. I remember it was in the 10PM timeslot for four straight years (2000-2004). I guess it's nice to see Three's Company at a better time now then it has been for so long.
Andy Griffith was on 8pm for a while too. Do you remember TV Land Prime? Yeah, and how did that work out?

I remember TV Land Prime. I know The Cosby Show sometimes was part of it and I loved that show. That's one of my favorite shows of all time. But the other stuff wasn't any good that was in TV Land Prime, and I never watched any of that, except an occasional Everybody Loves Raymond, but it's overdone on TV Land.

I sometimes wonder what kind of channel TV Land is going to morph into. If I had to guess, I'd say eventually it will be mostly originals with a handful of sitcoms from the 90's and beyond. It's hard to say, but seeing as classic shows continue to get the boot, there are definitely going to be major changes.

TV Land is still 70% classic programming going by the schedule.

Unlike SH*T@NITE which is 0% classic programming

Angry What happened to TV Land?

I remember when TV `Land launched solely for the old shows like Dick van Dyke, I Love Lucy, Batman, Green Acres and all the old stuff with the original commercials. Now, they became more modernized with "newer" shows and even original stuff. What happened?

It could not survive as a "Classic TV Only" network since cable tv started changing in 2000. It had to create reality tv and original programming for the advertisers.

SECONDED!

Just about ALL the TV Shows TV Land(fill) no longer shows (as well as the ones they still show, albiet "Hacked and Slashed" ), plus a SLEW of Classic 1950s, 60s, & 70s Series that they NEVER showed! are available on DVD, either at B&M Stores such as Best Buy or E-Tailors like Amazon. What, you cannot find your favorate TV Shows there? Then go to a "Trader Site" or contact our friends on the "Trading Post" (I HIGHLY Recommend Y2K3 Joker! ) .
