I hope Cougar Town bombs. We have enough trashy shows on the air. Scrubs was bad enough, now they're giving Bill Lawrence another show.

Trashy show? Cougar Town is not a trashy show. First you are judging a show with a 3 minutes sample and second to each his own, why hope that a show fails? If you don't like it, and it's your right, just watch something else. I am looking forward to it. I am not excited at all for Hank but I don't hope it fails. People always trash whatever they don't like...if we all like the same thing, life and TV would be so boring...

I hope all the new sitcoms can somehow hit this upcoming season, they are still a struggling breed(no new ones broke out this past season), and the whole genre needs a shot in the arm, not just on ABC but the other networks as well(well The CW doesn't have any

Gary Unmarried at least made it to season 2...I guess that's something. You're right though, the sitcom genre needs a major hit bad. Maybe then some of these awful reality shows will vanish.

Umm, what do you call Two and a Half Men?

I know it's close to its end, although it still has three seasons left at least, but it shows that the sitcom isn't dead.

And now, with it's move to 9:30 after "Men," The Big Bang Theory will easily be the next big hit! It already was getting 10-11 million viewers at 8pm up againist House and Dancing with the Stars, and that says a lot!

I really hope the new ABC comedies do well...especially Cougar Town and The Middle which look the best! As much as I love Kelsey Grammar, his new show looks "been there, done that!" I'll give it a shot though, and I'll be checking out Accidentally on Purpose, Modern Family and Community as well. The only new sitcom coming this fall that looks bad is 100 Questions, which is sad as its NBC's first multi-camera sitcom since Friends ended!

I have to agree with this. I think any sitcom is going to have a lot of trouble if it isn't on CBS, and this is kind of the image that's been burned into viewer's minds. With 4 new comedies on ABC this season, hopefully they'll be able to turn that around.

The Futon Critic gave very positive reviews to all four of the Wednesday comedies, with the top 2 being Modern Family and Cougar Town. I can't wait for these two especially(and The Middle)

“Shark Tank” is scheduled to air on Sundays, August 9, 16 and 23, 2009 in the special 9:00 PM ET/PT slot. Then “Shark Tank” will premiere in its new day and time on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 8:00 PM ET/PT until further notice.

ABC has 13 episodes of Shark Tank, so that will get it through October.

What will be airing in the slot once Shark Tank ends?

My guess would be Ugly Betty, with Wife Swap returning to Fridays, or could it be Scrubs/Better Off Ted a bit early?

That is way too far away to think about right now. They could order more Shark Tank if it is a big hit. If not, they will likely go with DWTS recaps for 3 weeks since there will 3 weeks left anyway for that.
