Over at the LA premiere of A Dark and Stormy Night Dan Roebuck gave a brief statement about H2:

"'Halloween 2' is going to be really epic," stated Dan.

"The tone changes throughout the movie and its going to be a little different than what people think. People will love it. Rob Zombie's never disappointed his fans. He's disappointed a lot of people who don't like to see people's heads cut off, but those people aren't going to go see 'H2', they're going to go see something with Jennifer Aniston."

I had to ask if he was going to die in the film and he craftily replies: "I can tell you that I have died on film many times and this will definitely may or may not be one of them."

Well it's hard for me to say without having seen it but from what I gather from all of this is that this will be Rob Zombie's own creative spin on Halloween.

I can say this will not be like any of the previous installments and that Rob is going for a more realistic, brutal, and darker tone.

Yet Another Look at Halloween 2's Michael Myers
Source: Fangoria
June 2, 2009

Fangoria #285 is going to focus heavily on Rob Zombie's Halloween 2, so that makes ol' Michael Myers the magazine's cover boy yet again.

Here's a fresh look at the sequel's killer.

Yet ANOTHER Look at Michael Myers, Who Has the Blues
Tuesday, June 2, 2009
By: MrDisgusting

Making up for that really lame Twitter "surprise" this morning, Rob Zombie had released a brand new image of Michael Myers in H2, arriving in theaters August 28th.

While I love a new pic of Michael as much as the next, I would like to see some establishing stills, or maybe a look at someone else (Brea Grant anyone?)?

Check out the new still below, the hi-res one here and then talk about your thoughts on the latest from the ongoing Halloween franchise.

Halloween 2 Captain Clegg Show Poster
Source: Rob Zombie
June 5, 2009

This summer's horror sequel Halloween 2 is going to feature the rockin' tunes of Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures, a fictional band created solely for the film. You can listen to them here. Today, writer-director Rob Zombie posted some promo art pimping them out.

I absolutely cannot wait to see this movie! I love how Rob blends creepy with the ridiculously campy, and I'm sure this one will be great. House of a 1,000 Corpses was awesome (still haven't seen Devil's Rejects) and his take on Halloween was cool too (not as good as the original, but it's not trying to be the original and I'm cool with that). Anyway, to make a long story short, I'm psyched!

I really liked the first one. I think the 4th film is good too, but not the rest. I hope this one is good.

Dr. Loomis and His Publicist Take a Walk in H2
Tuesday, June 9, 2009
By: MrDisgusting

Ask and you shall receive.

Rob Zombie has finally started releasing some images of character in H2 other than Michael Myers and Uncle Coffins.

Today he posted your first look at Dr. Loomis (Malcolm McDowell) and his publicist Nancy McDonald (Mary Birdsong) in the sequel to his reboot arriving in theaters August 28th.

It's that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable.

Rob Zombie's Halloween was a re-imagining of John Carpenter's Halloween. That was pretty much a remake.

H2 is not going to be based on any previous Halloween movie. I gather this will be his own spin on the franchise.

A Bloody Behind-the-Scenes Look at H2
Wednesday, June 10, 2009
By: MrDisgusting

Now we're getting somewhere!

Rob Zombie is finally off the Michael Myers and Uncle Coffins rampage and bringing us some other look at H2.

Yesterday we got Dr. Loomis and his publicist, today we get a really sweet behind-the-scenes look at Wayne Toth's FX work on the sequel arriving in theaters August 28th.

The image features Toth working on Scout Taylor-Compton, along with two (spoiler warning) images of a dead "someone". Check it inside.

Michael Myers Goes Homeless in Action Figure Form
Thursday, June 11, 2009
By: MrDisgusting

While everyone has been making jokes about the seemingly homeless Michael Myers images from H2, it appears it wasn't a joke at all.

"Here's the first shots of the homeless Michael Myers action figure! Check it!" Rob Zombie writes on his blog.

The figure comes with a removable hood, because that's like his cape if he were Batman, you know?

This Halloween sequel is getting more and more bizarre, and if there's something positive to take out of it all, at least he's doing something original (we cried for it, now we're getting it).
