Thanks. As I mentioned in a previous post, I loved sitting back, with my feet up, every Friday night--with a cool refreshment, to watch Dallas. It was fun too, on Monday mornings, to talk about the show with co-workers who were also fans. We'd make predictions about what J.R., Bobby, Cliff, etc., might do next!

I can imagine how you felt. Gene, there was nothing like relaxing on a Friday night watching J.R. wheel and deal was there? I would lay in bed in the dark and only get up during the commercials.

Happy 30th Anniversary, Dallas!
It's hard to believe that 2 1/2 years ago, I'd never even seen an entire episode of Dallas. Now it's one of my all time favorite shows and I have Sonny to thank for that. He was always talking about Dallas in random and one day I saw that there was a sale for Dallas seasons 1 & 2 so I decided to check it out. I was surprised at how much I liked this show as I was never really into the other prime time soaps from that era, but Dallas was really in a class by itself with all the great characters and storylines and easily one of the greatest characters ever to appear on tv, J.R. Ewing.

You are so right about everything you said. Dallas just had it all. They invented the cliffhangers. Every season I couldn't wait to find out how the season would end and it kept me in suspense all summer.

Great Show! It sure doesn't seem like it's been 30 years since it first aired. I used to work in a boot factory and the popularity of that show & the movie Urban Cowboy gave our factory a huge increase in western style boots sales. So at one time Dallas was my bread & butter, so to speak.
