Ok so for the James Burnside show, he only murdered my mom. The co-worker Dave is still alive, and a couple of years ago got arrested because he told a Home Depot worker he had a gun. But he's not in jail now.
on a side note: do you know where i can get the video of the one my dad was in? we have it taped off the tv, but it's old and jumpy. |

I guess I should also say my dad is serving 2 life sentences. And the real kicker is, if he had just killed my mom he'd be eligible for parole. but since he has the attempted murder on Dave he's not. I guess it's just good that he can't get out!
My sister and I went to the jail to see him when I was in 10th grade. He told us where he was for the 4 years he was on the run. Get this... he had a job in GA and his boss saw the unsolved mysteries and said I know who you are, you need to get out of here and LET HIM GO. Then he had a job in TN, and this boss saw the show and went to him and said I know who you are, you need to get out of here I already have another job lined up for you and LET HIM GO. It was his 3rd boss that turned him in. |

That is AWFUL about two employers letting James Burnside go! Can they be prosecuted for anything, or is the statute of limitations for accessory after the fact, etc., up? Also, although we're not allowed to discuss episode sale or trade, I hope someone contacted his child (was this the daughter? I only remember one daughter but the poster mentions two children) about obtaining a copy.

***Wanted: Melody Woods began dating a man named Michael Short, a man who had a history of violence. Short was later sentenced to prison for a shooting incident who harrassed Woods from jail. Woods later helped Short escape from prison. Short and Woods were both arrested (I believe they said 9 months after the escape). Short was sentenced to an additional 7 years to run concurrently with his original sentence. Woods was sentenced to 10 years probation. |

I want to thank you for all of your efforts. I've been a huge UM fan for years. I can't believe I found this. This was everything I could have asked for.
Thank you again! |

gosh, I just went through the whole list and a lot of them don't sound familiar. Perhaps there are more lost segments than we originally thought.

Kait Arquette- A lot has changed since her UM episode aired. There is a ton of new information about this case on her family's website. It's way too much to post here, but here is the link. http://kaitarquette.arquettes.com/

Just to let anyone know that may have been wondering I finally made all those updates that had been suggested to me and pending for the past like 3 months.

I was just reading your updates and for the first time read the color coding information. I did not realize until now that we should post additional information as we know it. Anyway here is a little more info on the John Hawkins capture. I found this information after doing a little more research. What is interesting is that when he was captured he denied being John Hawkins. But was identified by the Italian Police. A prior girlfriend had told the U.S.investigators about a certain anomaly on a private part of his body. They informed the Italian police so they had him strip checked and it was there. "John Hawkins was captured off Sardinia by Italian police after being featured on AMW. Both Boggs and Hanson were convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Hawkins was convicted of conspiracy to murder and a maximum of 25 years in prison. He got a lighter sentence as he hadn't been involved in the actual murder, though investigators suspected he was the brains of the scheme." |
