Good question...I have no idea. *shrugs* Spanish pop seems like an odd category for AI.

I want John Stevens eliminated next week. If he wins this competition, it will be a joke.

I, like everyone else, am shocked that three of the best people, Fantasia, Latoya (thank goodness she was safe), and Jennifer, were in the bottom three. I could see Hudson getting eliminated because she was in the Bottom Three several times. I am glad Fantasia and Latoya are back because they are what this competition needs./

If either:

a) LaToya was voted off before it came down to the final 3 or 4

or

b) John Stevens won the competition

...........Simon would definitely quit his job.

I'm assuming that it's like Selena, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Gloria Estefan-ish. Paula was never dead on clear about it on the show. Maybe she'll talk about it more on Entertainment Tonight

Diana's father's side must be Italian. DeGarmo is an Italian name. Her mother's side must be Spanish. She does look Spanish, now that someone mentioned it. Her eyes are different.

Why is John Stevens still in the competition? I don't know what it is. Like someone said, it's definetly not talent because the boy can't sing. I find it funny how each week he looks just as surprised that he is still in game. The boy knows that he can't sing! I have a feeling that he will end up winning this American Idol.

On a different subject of votes ...

Did anyone else think the Ford commercial this week was the stupidest thing they'd ever seen?

I wanted to rip my face off after seeing that. It was AWFUL.

OMG, that would be a perfect song for Diana.

I am sad to see Jennifer gone. She's my favorite Diva. Now Fantasia is my fav. Diva. I was so shocked to see them in the bottom 3. But when they revealed that they were in the bottom, I knew that Jennifer was gone. That's too bad.

Wow. I watched lastnite and for some reason, I wasnt all too suprised when the 3 'divas' were bottom 3. Im one who believes the show is sometimes 'tampered' with, so my theory was that the producers wanted to get rid of one of the 'divas' to narrow down the competition. I dunno. Jennifer bugs me anyways, and I for one was happy to see who top the 3 were -.-

Paulas right though about all of JPL's votes going to JS.

I also thought it was really mean for Ryan to make George go to the group he thought was top 3. Yah, naturally he was going to go to group A, but it was really rude and a slap in the fase to group B. And did anyone notice La Toya waving George into her group?! Yah, shes got a great voice, but she shoudnt have done that. Kinda mean. Watching the show I felt so bad for Diana, Jasmine and John with all the boo's and judges opinions.

Although I'm happy that Jennifer went (out of LaToya and Fantasia).. even though she has been the most improved out of anyone, like Kim Locke was last year.

but in all honesty.... George and John Stevens deserved to be the bottom 2. and im so sorry if im offending anyone, but i'm very upset that LaToya (the best singer) was in the bottom 3 AGAIN, with Fantasia, who's also really good. But aah, me complaining about John is already too much so i wont complain directly about him. However George was one of my faves, but i hate how people have been voting him to safety after 2 LOUSY performances!!! but i just have to say, that if people continue making this into a popularity contest, it will ruin AI *runs and hides*. I guess we'll see George and John doing some Spanish Pop next week with Gloria Estefan (rumored theme).

We're down to 6 now and my favorite didnt get cut in the top 7 round like last year
I cannot believe Jennifer got voted off. She did not deserve that. IMO poor John is not ready to be the next A.I. I will give it up to him for putting up with all mess that has been put in his way by people who criticize him but he is not ready and needs to go. Jennifer should not have left. She was always a good singer and was finally starting become more relaxed. The three divas gave the best performances and they wound up in the bottom three. That was a major shock. John's performance of "Mandy" was not the greatest and we have to stop voting on popularity and vote on talent and performance. I'll be doggone if Latoya or Fantasia are eliminated next week.

Yeah, if we make it a popularity contest, it will ruin AI as a whole. But yeah, i'll be pretty much upset if anyone but John gets eliminated this week. My top 5 are still in the running, so i want them to actually make the top 5

I read this on idolforums...and it could just be someone making this up but, they said that on ET that after the show last night, John told Jennifer Hudson "It should have been me." And if that's true then well...he deserves a great big .

I dunno, now I personally think he'd just be better off going. He's only 16. When you're 16 you take things a lot more personally than a 25 year old. And week after week- he gets negative comments. No matter how hard he tries, he just can't seem to please all of the judges completely. He can only take so much...I feel really bad for him. I hope next week is the end for him, it would just be much better off that way.

The judges did say he was a nice kid. But that only gets you so far in this competition.
