Shark Tanks has never has the luxury of following a decent lead in or airing at 10pm against less competition. It has done quite well considering it aired againts the #1 show on tv. If its as high with large income households as they say why dont they give it a decent slot. Its a waste on Friday.

'Ugly Betty' moving to Wednesday
ABC hopes schedule change will boost series
By MICHAEL SCHNEIDER

ABC is set to make its long-rumored "Ugly Betty" move to Wednesday nights.

Schedule shift could give "Betty" a boost, as it would now air behind the highly compatible half-hour "Cougar Town."

"Ugly Betty" fills the void left by "Eastwick," which was not picked up for a full season.

Scheduling move shifts "Betty" from what had been a lonely Friday night slot, sandwiched between the reality series "Supernanny" and the newsmag "20/20."

Airing in that rough slot, "Ugly Betty" had been a Nielsen also-ran -- most recently, during the holiday weekend, posting just a 0.9 rating/3 share among adults 18-49.

With "Ugly Betty" moving off Friday, ABC plans to return to a completely non-scripted lineup on the night, replacing the 9 p.m. hour with the reality series "Shark Tank."

ABC has five more episodes in the can of "Shark Tank"; no word yet on what the network plans to do there once those segs complete their run.

Moves are effective this January.

I'm not going to comment until it is official, but I agree about Shark Tank. It would be more valuable during the week. If it does move to Friday, wonder what will fill the void Tuesday at 8?

Will Let's Dance be ready by January or has it been delayed for longer than that? Maybe it could go Tuesday 8pm. Or Wife Swap.

I agree. It's a waste on Fridays. Supernanny/Wife Swap were a perfect combo on Fridays last season(far better than what's happening now) and they should be back together.

Betty on Wednesdays will be very interesting, I don't think it can get a better lead-in than Cougar Town.

THE FORGOTTEN got a 1.3 last night. Guess DWTS was really helping it. I am glad ABC didnt formally announce their winter sked yet, because LOST or no LOST this should not be on any night but Friday. Without another procedural in the hour it did worse than ever. I can't fathom a schedule with this on it Tues at 10 thru March and ST on Fridays.

I really hope they reconsider running those encores the next few weeks. If an original got a 1.3, I shudder to think what a rerun will get. I know Leno was off and BL was on 10-11p but come on a 1.3 - unacceptable.

By they way BL got almost a 4.0 in the 11pm hour - everyone that says DWTS cant air at 10pm, here's why it can, especially since it will have the reality audience to itself.

Green Bay and Milwaukee are preempting ABC primetime this Monday, but they are no where near as big as Boston. So it won't be down much as it was this week.

Some Station's like WGNO will be airing Dick Clark Rock and Eve from 11:35 pm until 1:05 am CT Time And 1:05 am until 2:05 am CT Time

I know the ratings are bad but after seeing tonights EASTWICK, i am really bummed ABC is givng the shot to FORGOTTEN ovet this. EASTWICK is creatively really great and fits ABC much better, plus as last night proved FORGOTTEN aint doing any better.

I like Forgotten but I also like Eastwick a lot more and it is getting better every week. Very good writing and I find one of the best ABC show at the moment, but hey...I at least hope the show the remaining 2 episodes after dec 30th episodes.
