I wasnt around when NKOTB were big, but even now I dont like them. I still hear about them a lot. All the girls who were fans of them still talk about them. But the 80s was more of the big hair rock & roll music. 99-01 was the 'pop' explosion.

Even in the popularity field the Beatles win by a hundred miles. They were extremely popular for the nearly ten years of their existence. After they broke up they remained extemely popular. I'm not knocking anyone's preferance. I'm just pointing out that overlooked fact in the conversation.
