I always thought that Janet was too smart for Jack. Besides, it wouldn't have made any sense to have two people who had lived together as friends for eight years to suddenly fall in love. I think Jack and Janet would have just been. . . . . weird.

I've never seen "Three's a Crowd", though. I couldn't say anything about Vicky. Maybe they need to show it on TV Land.

the fact that Janet was not a character on Three's a crowd makes it very confusing as to why she is being compared to Vicky Bradford

I watched every single episode of TAC (once, exactly once each) always missing the old cast.

But the fate was with Vicky.

yeah it had a three's company ep feel by having two old three's company characters.

Thing is, that Larry's plot was as I recall exactly the same as in the Ropers' sixth episode (which I finally got to see last week -- only 29 years late

).... Funny how Ted McGinley's considered by some to be the death knell for a show -- in the TC universe, Richard Kline played kinda the same role.

i found it strange that no one applauded when larry appeared on the Ropers or Three's a crowd

Actually, do you notice that the studio audience never seemed to applaud at the entrances of the stars, all through TC/TAC? Maybe the show runners had taste enough to edit it out in post-production.

No I don't think it should have been any of the roommates but I think they needed a better actress to play Vicki. Mary was terrible. lol

I have to agree with Sonny and say neither - no disrespect to any of the actors, but I didn't see Jack as the right guy for either of them and vice versa.

Vicky never even had a chance with me. She wasn't Janet, so I didn't like her.

I personally always thought Jack and Janet were in love for a long time, they just didn't realize it. Jack seemed to right before Janet got married

Couldn't get Janet so he went for Vicky. Bad move, Jack. He should have fought for Janet!
