That's true. My cats are very much like humans in that when they need affection, they'll be all over you, yet when they want to be alone, they act like you don't even exist.

I definitely have noticed that look that cats give dogs. Ha ha ha!!!! My cats won't even lay near a pillow where my dog Paisley has laid. It's almost as if they feel that it would be beneath them to do so.

lol - one of my cats loves to sleep in the dogs' bed. You should see the look the dogs give him when they see him there but they don't dare try to get him out and they know it!
It's the opposite at my place - the dogs won't lie where the cats have been. And one dog refuses to drink "cat water". She'll only drink out of the "dogs" water. It's a riot to watch.

Cats all the way. I like dogs but I could never own one. They're way too high maintenance for me.

dogs, definitely. they're a lot more fun to play with and interact with you. the cats i've come across just don't seem like they care/want to play with people.

My cats look the same way at dogs. Both of them arch their backs when a dog gets near their space.

I have both, but I'm a little more attached to the cat.

100% Cat person. I have a one-bedroom apartment - well, scratch that: My cats have a one-bedroom apartment, they just let me pay rent and sleep in it.

By the way, don't tell my landlord I have three cats. He thinks I only have two

Gotta disagree with you. Dogs are annoying an require a ton of attention. Cats are fine by themselves, or will play with you (my cats love to play "fetch" with stuffed mice). Best of both worlds.
