I remember when I was about 11 or so I had to wear an EXPANDER and it was aweful.... When my mom/dad turned it to make it wider,it hurt like crazy!!

One day in school my pizza got wrapped around it and I was chocking and I remember my teacher running down the hall carrying me getting me to the nurses office......

My teacher stuck her fingers in my mouth and got the pizza out while we were running down hall....... (Sadly she has passed away a few years ago)

I did not wear braces but I had to wear a retainer because I had one protruding front tooth that stuck out because I used to suck my thumb. One time I wanted to clean it, to disinfect it. So I put it in boiling water and it melted/shrunk so I had to get a new one. Boy, was I dumb.
