About 6 weeks ago, there were 2 GG DVD's listed on Ebay, but they vanished really fast. I wonder if they were bootlegs? If not how did anyone get ahold of them so soon?

Most definitely these were bootlegs. You're much better off waiting for the official release. Sometimes on EBay the spin-off series, The Golden Palace is offered too, but again this is a bootleg. Bootlegs are fine for things that will never see the light of day (at least in my opinion) but for something that's around the corner, I say wait for the official release.

Just my 2 cents...

I meant "the cover art was not so great."
I will definitely wait for the DVD's in November.
It sure would have been nice if they put an episode or 2 of Golden Palace as a bonus on the DVD. Maybe when they get to season 7...

I hope that the DVDs will have the original opening title sequence, instead of the one lifetime uses for syndication.

I don't know why it wouldn't have. Boy Meets World did, I think Buena Vista did a great job with the BMW DVD so I think they'll do great on the GG DVD as well

yeah i've heard nothing but good praise for the BMW dvds, which gives me high hopes for the Golden Girls dvds. I hope that if these are successful they will release Emtpy Nest. I'm assuming that Buena Vista has the rights to that show too?

Yeah Buena Vista did a great job, the picture and sound quality for BMW are better than on network tv, so I think that the GG will be excellent

Hmmm I could check for ya

I can't wait...there are some pretty good DVD releases coming up in the next few months. Of course GG is at the top of my list.

They should. If BV did it with BMW, then they'll do it to GG.

I don't see why they wouldn't have the original opening for TGG as well, I'm sure Home Improvement will have the original and not the syndicated opening

It's the same song more or less, just edited. But what's majorly different from the original NBC airings are the clips that are shown during the theme song. Each season it'd change and reflect more on that particular season instead of a generic one clip for all 7 seasons intro that Lifetime currently uses.

Does anyone know if the episodes will be in production order or airdate order on the DVD's?
