geesh he doesn't look that bad. Alot of people gain weight as they get older, and it's not easy to lose it as it to gain it, as most of us probably know

For all we know he could have something wrong that made him gain weight like maybe taking medicine, or quitting smoking or something.

Yeah, a medical condition would be no excuse at all!

Yeah...I agree. A medical condition is an excuse...a very good excuse. Such as a thyroid problem...you just can't help it. Medications don't work for everyone, and there's not always a medication to regulate things.

BTW - My grandmother had lupus and they put her on some sort of medication, I think steroids? It made her gain about 50-60 pounds and she ate very healthy....

I don't see why if they are truly trying to lose the weight.

It's not always weight gained from eating. As for my grandmother, the weight gain had to do with mainly bloating. She couldn't help that. I'm not saying that is his case, but if it is medically related I'd cut him some slack.
