Sad

I'm sorry for your loss Jo. I only read the first sentence of your post, otherwise I'll cry.

Please accept my condolences. I know very well the love we can feel for our pets.

I've been down the same road...I had a cat that was killed almost 6 years ago, and my current oldest cat turns 10 this year. I don't know what I'll do when she dies.

I'm so sorry to hear of your dog's death. I've been thru this many times. It's never easy. Sometimes I'll think about them and get teary eyed even though they've been gone for along time. I miss them all. But Sport and all of are departed pets are in a better place.

I'm really sorry to hear about Sport. It's really hard to lose a pet you've had for a long time. You never lose the memories though, I think about my dogs pretty much everyday and they've been gone ten years.

Jo, I am so very sorry for your loss. I have 4 dogs and one of them is almost 16. She's doing pretty good, but I don't know how I'm going to take it when she does go, same with my other dogs.

Like Vera Wang wrote, at least he isn't suffering anymore.

I don't think it's a useless thread. It may be old, but it's no big deal being bumped up. Btw, I'm sorry for your loss too, Jo.

Exactly. I wish people would stop telling others how and what to post or not post. I don't even do that.

My dog Sparkel (don't worry, she didn't die) was a female and she kept running away, and everytime she did, she came back pregnant. (This happended about 4 times). Everytime she had a litter of pups, something was always wrong with them and most of them would die. She had about 4 litter of puppies for the past 5 years, and everytime some would turn out sick and died when we got too attatched to them. We couldn't afford to get Sparkel's tubes tied so she could stop having pups, so we gave her away because we were tired of taking care of sick puppies. And it was expensive having dogs.
