Sad

I'm disappointed that we won't see 'Men for all Seasons.'....I was looking forward to finally seeing this episode.

Tootie: Muffy? Her name is Muffy? What kind of person is named Muffy?

Jo: Beats me, Tootie.

It's just a show! A TV icon just died--the last thing everyone should be doing is complaining about an episode of the Facts of Life not being shown. It's not like 'Men for all Seasons' will never be shown again. I mean, I like Facts of Life just as much as everyone(especially the later seasons) but Carroll O'Connor really deserves this tribute.

That's just my opinion.

So let N @ N do their tribute. On that night just get out your tapes that you've taped and watch the things.
I agree with you all the way! He played Archie Bunker for 13 SEASONS!- 12 years! The man deserves a tribute!
If Charlotte Rae died, they would prob. show TWO nights worth of episodes, one- FOL two- DS.

You should be happy that FOL is on. You won't be feeling like this when NAN's contract runs out.....

Carroll O' Connor definitely deserves a tribute, but N@N can do something to squeeze in "Men for all seasons." But with this "All in the family" marathon, their ratings will remin high and they're probably not going to worry about promoting FOL anymore.

All in the Family has def. become more popular since Thursday. On a lot of the channels are Carroll O' Conner interviews, discussions, and bios.

I agree totally. Yeah, it stinks that they won't show this episode, but it isn't like the world is going to end if we don't see it. I was talking to my dad about how NAN keeps cutting back on FOL, and he said that it may be because they know how many fans there are, and they sort of want to string out the episodes so that we won't end up seeing the same ones over and over. Let's hope.

Don't see why there's even an argument. It's Nick at Nite's call, and we can't change it either way.

Although, I will say this... I would've watched the FoL episode. The AITF marathon, while tasteful, doesn't interest me in the least... especially since I'm getting a weekend full of AITF on TV Land. Plus, TV Land is (most likely) showing better episodes. Right now, Edith's Rape episode is on... N@N wouldn't show episodes like that if their lives depended on it.

I was a bit shocked to read the first few replies to this topic. Personally, I was never a big fan of O'Connor...I never really saw any of his work except All in the Family (a show which didn't really interest me). However, the man had just died. So Nick at Nite decides to run an All in the Family marathon to honor this man---which means, gasp!--The Facts of Life won't be on for one night. I guess I can understand whoever was upset because Nick at Nite didn't warn us of the lack of TFOL on Monday. I mean, they should've known such a tragedy was going to occur, right? How dare they! They could've given us at least a week's notice, right?

For those that upset, I'm missing the only episode of TC that I haven't seen other then the two that "NAN won't show if their lives depended on it." Last time they aired it was at 2:30 AM.
