I plan on applying and going to either UCLA, NYU, Barnard College, John Hopkins, U. of Pennsylvania, U. of Michigan, Georgetown, U. of Rochester, Boston College...and I guess Princeton as a wish-college, only because I know connections at Princeton...I dont know, Im still undecided. I also dont know what I plan on majoring in..probably either business/marketing, business/adminstration, pre-law, pre-dentistry, or sexuality and gender studies...

This is weird..I was just looking at college websites (that doesn't happen often) and I came here and found this post. I kind of don't want to have to go back to school, but I'd like to make more than minimum wage someday so I'm thinking about going to Concord college or New River Community and Technical College. I'd really like to attend Marshall University though.

Those are all fabulous schools - but let me caution you about University of Michigan: it's got a wonderful graduate program, but their undergrad is not that good. A lot of the courses are taught by TAs instead of profs - one of my friends who goes there said she didn't get a prof until her junior year. They've got a great reputation, but it's falling. Their acceptance policies were also under federal investigation (that's usually not a good sign)

I think every state plays that game. I know we do:

Michigan State University
University of Michigan - Ann Arbor
Eastern Michigan University
Western Michigan University
Northern Michigan University
Central Michigan University
Michigan Technical University
Lake Michigan College
North Central Michigan College
Northwestern Michigan College
Southwestern Michigan College
University of Michigan - Flint
University of Michigan - Dearborn
etc.

Don't you love how creative my state is with school names?

That stinks. I got profs my freshman year at University of Northern Iowa and still had them when I transfered to Iowa State my sophomore year. That was sooooo much better. I did have one class where it was taught by grad students and boy was that a joke.

I want to go to Northeastern University in Boston, but I doubt that will happen. I'll probably end up going to University of Illinois.
