And you are very right about some of your theories.

Since you brought it up, a little more background. Knowing that MTM didn't have an ownership interest in the DVDS (along with so many who helped make it a success), my plan was that MY company, dickvandykeshow.com, inc., would issue shares to Mary, Rosie, Dick, Carl, Sam Denoff, John Rich, Earle Hagen, and everyone else who wanted to participate in making the DVD release a success. That way, whether or not they were part of the original CALVADA team, they would have a vested interest in making our project a hit.

And, ultimately, if my company prevails in gaining financial success from the Image-produced discs (either via Amazon affiliate-marketing, or some other future effort like the Ottoman Collection), I still plan to be loyal and spread it around.

Doug, it is so good to see you on the board!!! I'm glad you are still with us and sounding so upbeat. We are in your corner, in spite of what one or two mean-spirited souls would have you believe. I can't wait to get my sets!!!

Let's not rip Lolac for her politics, (which she does not push off on anyone anyway). None of us do; this board isn't about that. We just come together in mutual love and admiration for a great show, with a great cast, from a great era of television. We should all just leave it at that.
Granted, I took a risk with a question about religion, but only as it pertained to the show - well, sort of.
Come on kids, let's play nice. We wouldn't want to let the Petries down.

Thanks for the support, Steve. I was a little surprised by John's response in that I don't believe I've ever mentioned my politics on this board. No matter!! Today is the day and as Doug said, there are alot of HAPPY Dick Van Dyke Show fans out there today!!! Happy viewing!

We all know I'm not the happiest camper in terms of how Doug conducts himself and promotes DVD.

But, John, it's a plus that he's out here. It's not easy to face the crowd when you're so visibly involved in a project like this.

Try to stick to constructive criticism. If you can't, you're not helping those of us who would like to see a better marketing effort during this critical time.
