out of curiousity tho. Why do you hate Madonna? I find it hard to believe anyone who grew up in the 1980's and likes that style of music would hate her. Okay, Like A Virgin and Material Girl were fluffy Britney-type songs, but she's been "legitimate" ever since 1989 with critics. Madonna is to a generation what Elvis was to his generation, and The Beatles were to theirs. Yes, she is no great shakes when it comes to singing, but any Madonna fan knows she is not Mariah or Celine as a vocalist, it's common knowledge. For most of us in our 20's and early 30's, Madonna is THE icon of our generation.

My sister loves her, so i've pretty much her all her stuff. I don't like her music at all. I can't stand her voice or her music. Its dreadful. and I don't like that style of music. I don't like crap. Growing up I was more into alt and ska. I think its an Orange County thing.

Who are you to be the spokesperson for our generation?... You are just one in a million. It's not even right to compare him with Marvin Gaye, and Elvis, they broke down barries, and created art.
I'm not saying that Tupac is nothing to rest of the music industry. It's just that he isn't worthy to be on a list with those fellow musicians. He was a great RAP act, but not great to the overall music audience. Maybe if he didn't associate himself with losers, I would of seen him a different way. That's why I think his work pre-Death Row is the best.

Of course if you ask Eminem he will say Tupac is best. He's just being modest.

And hes good at it. He can dance and he can sing. I was never a big fan of Madonna, but I still love her songs and I like he shes not afraid to shock people. As for that list, Im also surprised Mariah Carey didnt make the list. I watched her discography thing on VH1 and she broke so many records and had some many #1's. But hits dont necessarily make you the greatest artist of all time. Also, wheres Prince?

Tupac and Elvis will NEVER be in the same category. NEVER. Elvis changed the face of rock and roll and set the standard for music to come. Tupac's accomplishments cannot compare to that. "Black Jesus"??? Whatever...no one can be compared to Jesus....but sure not him. If you was gonna try to compare anyone to Jesus it would be someone like Moses or Noah or Paul or John....but Tupac??? That's hilarious. I understand you're a fan, but he's not the greatest. I mean, you don't see me comparing Kurt Cobain to Elvis or Jesus because I think he's great. He was great to me, but he's the greatest ever.

We know what real music is, and what deserves such recognition.

One or two people cannot speak for an entire genre of music. Next topic...

Because Elvis was groundbreaking, and one of a kind. His music touched more people's lives than Tupac's. His audience was wider.

You idiot, how dare you compare a freaking pot head, drug addict to Jesus!!! Please just keep religion out of this...

I agree, but he doesn't belong with those artists who are GREATER.

LOL... the list was created by Access Hollywood... a ridiculous talk/gossip program. Are you sure the fans voted?... or did the producers of the show.
Those polls are rigged all the time anyways.

Next time come up with better replies. Or just keeping on thinking of him as the "Black Jesus."

I agree. I'm not very religious, but I know better than to compare a singer or actor I like to Jesus. If you like Tupac, that's great. But Tupac DOES NOT COMPARE TO JESUS CHRIST!! I am not church-going and I have a lot of beef with fundamentalist Christians, but still, I see sacreligious when I see it. No dead singer. Not Tupac, not Elvis, not Lennon, not Cobain, NOBODY. Is in Jesus's league

thats the 1st time Tupac has beem put in a high recognition like this .... also I can compare whoever I want ... the Hip Hop crowd on tv , radio compare 2Pac to Elvis and Jesus, talk to them about it! 2Pac is an Icon, Icon... do I have to say again? Icon... he has sold around 100 million albums world-wide, I know Elvis has sold more but think about it Elvis is 'white' ... 2Pac was a young n*gga from the hood and made people world-wide feel what he is saying ... and still does today ... he releases double albums constantly every year ... and with Elvis only his DIE HARD fans mellow with him still, but he is cool!

Comparing 2Pac and Elvis is one thing. Elvis was a man. Jesus is another thing. I am not practicing with religion, but still.

Wow. Okay no.

The only similarity between 2Pac and Elvis is that people have doubted if their dead or not.

2Pac can NEVER be compared to Elvis.

Do you think Elvis was some rich guy when he started out, cause he wasnt. His family was very poor, they couldnt even pay the fees when he was born.
