I have no doubt that Desi wouldn't be a great friend, but compared to Lucy in his later years, she just seems more dependable.

Yeah, there was a book that said that Desi mentionned that none of them called him or saw him at the end, so they would most likely all show up at his funeral he said he would bet, then the author added that that would have been another bet that he would have lost, because only Danny showed up to do the eulogy.

I agree. I'm sure we all know about Lucy's temper, but it isn't fair to say that she treated her friends badly when none of us (I'm assuming) were there and knew her personally. I've read in many books what a loyal person she was, and once she knew she could trust you, and you'd be loyal to her, you had her for life. Lucy was extremely generous too, and yes, *gasp*, she could be very tactful with the people she cared most about. Sounds like a pretty good friend to me.

I agree with you.. i rather have someone tell me the honest to god truth then to sugarcoat everything.

Yeah, put me down for that also, honesty is hurtful sometimes, but so much better in the long run! An honest friend is a R E A L friend.

you can be honest, but not hurtful.. sorry, from lots of books i've read, Lucy could be very offending and hurt your feelings, even though she probably doesn't mean to. sorry, but I can't S T A N D that! she must have been insecure in some ways..even though i can't imagine how..

everyone is insecure in some way. Cant believe everything you read/hear though either.
