Yep. Some freshmen already have their own car by the time they start their first day of HS here.

Here its 14 but you have to be 18 or something to work in some places- 14 to handle food but 18 to handle clothes....go figure.

In Virginia, you can work at 14 (as long as you have a worker's permit), and the minimum wage is about $5.15.

I'm not sure where I read this, but I think in the Province of Ontario, their minimum wage will be increased from $7.80/hr to $10.00/h after the next Provincial election. Which will be sometime this fall.

that's going to be almost twice as much as it is here in Virginia
