But a couple of years back didn't somebody get murdered that was on his show?
You're thinking of Jenny Jones... or wait, did a murder happen to a Jerry guest too?!

Default Jerry Springer guest murdered hours after show airs

I found what I was looking for...this was the story that I was talking about.

Only hours after an episode of the Jerry Springer Show aired on July 24th, one of the guests was found murdered in Sarasota, Florida. This particular episode, entitled "Secret Mistresses Confronted," was taped several months ago in Chicago, Illinois for broadcast while the show is on summer hiatus. Ralf Jurgen Panitz and his wife, Eleanor appeared on the show, and accused his former wife, Nancy Campbell-Panitz of stalking them...

Nope that was Jenny Jones. It was titled "Secret Gay crush". This guy was on to tell his friend that he had a crush on him. The other guy was upset saying he wasn't gay. Then the guy who wasn't gay was so embarrased that he killed the guy who admitted he had a crush on him.

This show started out being very traditional and authentic. I remember watching an episode in 1994 with gangbangers. I think there is a period of time between when they switched over to having extremely exploitational shows with real people and the obviously wannabe actors on there now. Maybe around the time that that guy from Jenny Jones died they scrapped using any real people and went with all actors. This show is obviusly fake now, but look at Ricki Lake and Maury. Those people on those shows seem real to me and their stories are just as embarassing!

It is fake. It has been fake for several years. Daytime talk shows aren't what they use to be. Sally,Jenny,Geraldo, and very soon Ricki all are gone. All of Maury shows are always about paternity tests. Thank goodness Cubs baseball will pre-empt Maury shows.
