I'm so glad someone else agrees with me about the first season. It wasn't bad to me. It was cute. Everybody was young and there were lessons to be learned from the 1st season just as there were for other seasons.

i ahve a question, if it was originally aired as a diff'rent storkes episode where mrs. g had to conivnce the school board to give jo a scholar ship then why wasnt jo on the first season? i am confussed, you said that there was an ep where mrs. g had to conivnce the school to give jo a scholarship cuz they couldnt afford eastland, but if it was a diff'rent strokes ep then it was before fol even started... which means no jo... so how is that?? please osmebody clear this up for me!! Im blonde!!!

You have it mixed up. The character Nancy (played by Felice Schatcher) needed the scholarship on the Different Strokes(FOL pilot)episode. In later seasons, Jo(Nancy McKeon needed a scholarship to stay at eastland. That's all.

I get them mixed up too. It's quite confusing that there was a character on the show named Nancy and then there was Jo played by Nancy Mckeon. When people refer to Jo by her real name I have to take a step back and think ok are they talking about the character Nancy or Nancy Mckeon. It mixes me up sometimes!

The first season girls were good. The word "cute" comes to mind when I think of the first season. I think of it as any other "Facts" episode.

Talking

Well, you guys who all say you hate the first season is because jo isnt there right? well, i mean i like jo a lot, shes not my FAVE but shes not the worst either, but even if the first season didnt ahve Natalie or Mrs. garrett i woudl still like it, well if it didnt have mrs. g i might not beucase a lot of eps had funny stuff with her involved but my point being is think of the first season as a completely different show called..... (thinks) "The Girls who couldnt make it!!" (LoL) but waht i mean is just think of it as a COMPLETELY different show and im sure you'll liek it... I absolutely love the first seaosn cuz mrs. g was MUCH more open!! VERY OPEN!!! i mean common she taught the girls abotu sex....!!!! (LoL) in the other seasons she coudlnt even bring herself to say sex infront of them!! she always used a different word like when she talked with tootie she said people her age were splashing in the "blue lagoon" hehe
