This stuff can be touchy sometimes. I still refer to African Americans as "blacks" Is this wrong? There is no malicious, racist intent to that. I'm sure that most black people refer to white people as "Whites" don't they? Please, if referring to African Americans as "blacks" is offensive I would surely like to know! The last thing I want to be is offensive! I hate that!

By the way, my dad's generation(born in the 20's) still refer to Af. Americans as "colored". I hear that term all the time! I don't like that term either!

I dont know, I've never used "oriental" do describe an asian person....

I don't think it is racist. I've used that term before. People need to lighten up. It's getting to the point that no matter what you say someone will end up taking offense to it.
