Default LITB Set

Whitey,
Big fan. Thrilled to find you here in person, so to speak. One of my fascinations with classic TV was the sets. I took the Universal tour years ago and rode past the LITB house (2nd one) I always wondered what it would look like if I went through the front door. Obviously the interiors were shot on a sound stage, but I'm curious to know what lies behind the door of the actual set house.

There is a bright new star in the sky.

You left us far too soon, Stanley.

You are in a much better place now, where you will not hurt, or ever be alone.

We will miss you.

You put that very well. It's so sad that he had to go so young. BTW, welcome to the boards.

Thanks for the welcome, BrandonS! I'm glad to be here!

I was 16 when LITB first aired, and watched every episode. I actually felt they were part of my family, and enjoyed each week waiting for the show to come on. It is great seeing them again on TVL, and really brings back the old days to me....when the world was a much kinder, simpler place.

It makes me feel even older, when someone like Stanley, who was almost a decade younger, leaves us. I hope he had family with him at the end. From his posts I have read here, it seems he was happy, and looking forward to the future. I am glad that by coming here, and reading the posts, he realized he had people that loved and remembered him.

Haven't been around much lately....busy like everybody else. So sorry to hear about "Whitey"...........it's funny, you watch the show year after year, sometimes finding it hard to believe that these people actually are older and fully grown. That may sound a bit silly but sometimes I get so wrapped up in the show, that's what happens.

Just a side note; my wife is much younger than me and just recently saw some LITB episodes for the first time on TVL. She loves the show and is hoping that it gets released on DVD in the future. I know I signed a petition to get Wings on DVD....is there any action being taken to do the same for LITB?
