She always was my favorite, and who am I kidding? Always will be. Who doesn't want her for a sister/best friend? She's very sweet, but it's very genuine. Ginger's artificially sweet, to see what it can get her. Mary Ann is sweet because she is.

I'll repeat what I said on another discussion thread on this site:

Men want to date Ginger, but they want to marry Mary Ann.

The same holds true regarding "WKRP In Cincinnati":

Men want to date Jennifer Marlowe, but they want to marry Bailey Quarters.

on Gilligan's Island.I perfer the girl next door type like Mary Ann
because they ARE the girl next door.
btw:I perfer Janet on Three's Company for the exact same
